Re: Ghost

Nottingham was rather fine, missed Tribulation unfortunately, and arrived halfway through All Them Witches who were pretty meh, Ghost were great though, 2 hour set with basically no stops.

Re: Next Announcement

Preist are Priest, popular but ridiculously soon to be back, Slayer and Megadeth had a 3 year gap, just 2 is too soon.

Behemoth are ace and insanely good live, just about headline level now, if Devin can headline so can they.

Still nothing making me gutted I won't be going.

Re: Next Announcement

Headliners Monday. What's the source of this? I can't find where this is mentioned anywhere so doubt we'll get an announcement so soon as we just had one. They've said both headliners will be announced by the end of October, and apparently it's gonna be on Monday. I can't confirm the Monday bit, bu...

Re: Next Announcement

Paradise Lost, hmm great band but `Icon` in full would have been better for me, never found them greatly interesting live I saw them do the whole of Gothic at Hellfest a few years ago, which was far better than seeing Draconian Times. Gothic, Lost Paradise, Icon and Shades Of God are all better tha...

Re: Next Announcement

Asks where any derogatory comments were made then refers to someone who clearly identifies as female as "her/him/it/they"... *facepalm* My use to "her/him/it/they" was to illustrate the point that I don't care what gender the singer is/was/or how they refer to themselves, my opi...

Re: Next Announcement

Sadly I knew it wouldn't take long for the derogatory remarks to start rolling in regarding Life of Agony. Big up to SlayerSlays for calling out the bullshit. I really don't think the "PC snowflake" argument even comes into play when it comes to showing basic respect for ...

Re: Next Announcement

I see they are continuing the trend of booking shite bands from the '90s that nobody cared for even then. Hell, I even remember them when they had a bloke singing for them..... Good announcements for me- and your crack about Mina is uncalled for and NOT funny It is completely true to be fair though...

Re: Next Announcement

Proper wank Phil Anselmo - liked Pantera 25 years ago, but long since grown out of them, the thought of a lobotomised fascist retard singing songs I've been long since bored of isn't exactly a must-see. Life Of Agony - thought they were shit back in the day and still do now, regardless of what gende...

Re: 2019 Albums

He's right about one thing.... "P.S. Who the fuck listens to DOPE!!??" If it wasn't for Kerrang, Metal Hammer and MTV hyping them up as fashionable in the 1990s, him and his band wouldn't even be a footnote in music history. A band that jumped on every bandwagon going. Hardly origin...

Re: Evil Scarecrow Mini-Tour Feb 2020

They're nowhere near as big as Alestorm; Alestorm sold out the Forum which is far bigger than the Ballroom, plus Alestorm albums get into charts, whereas ES will never do that.

Regardless of what you think to Alestorm, they are clearly far more talented than ES.

Re: Rate The Bands - Results!

Slayer were a 9 in 2013, but only a 7 in 2016, a lesser offering of more of the same. I didn't attend in 2015 so I can't say how shite Trivium were, and I tactically avoided Down and Lamb Of God when they played, but Motorhead were by far the worst headliner apart from that lot, they were an absolut...

Re: Manowar (!)

Lolz.

They charge a fortune, they're not even that popular over here, and after the Hellfest debacle, I doubt any festival will touch them with a barge poll now!

Re: Next Announcement

Right load of old wank. Devin heading? No fucking thanks, does absolutely nothing for me, and I've never understood why anyone likes his stuff.

Jinjer are bloody atrocious.

Love Gloryhammer, but I'll see them do a much better headline slot in a few weeks.

Brutal Assault is still the place for me!
