Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
Good: Staff and security were fantastic as always, queues into the arena kept moving steadily, and entry on Thursday has never been easier. Decent selection of vegan options (albeit pricey and seemingly mostly at the farthest end of the arena from the main stage). Communication from Bloodstock throu...

Re: The Alcohol Thread
2009 was quite a waspy one iirc. That was the festival that got me over my fear of wasps. Saw heavily tattooed guys running and flailing at the sight of a wasp and it made me think whether a wasp sting or a tattoo hurts more. Figured it probably leans more towards tattoos. Also worked in a kitchen ...

Re: movies
I think for me, I knew something about each character/team going into their films - whereas with Guardians, I knew absolutely nothing except for the fact that one was a talking raccoon and another was a tree. So where Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk were great introductions t...

Re: Computer Games Thread
From what I read, Kojima was more interested in getting on with Metal Gear Solid. Sucks, as I really liked the look of the PT demo they put out, and was definitely going to check out the full game once I upgrade. Joe, I'm also playing through the GTA V main story, but only because my PS3 has gone sc...

Re: movies
The first image of Jared Leto as The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie has been released. Shock horror, people seem to be divided about it. Personally, I think he looks great. We had the cartoonish version of Mr J with Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson's portrayals, we've had a more believabl...

Re: movies
I thought the new Star Wars, Ant-Man, Batman vs Superman and Avengers trailers all looked awesome. Haven't seen the new Terminator one yet. Needless to say, I'll likely be seeing all of them on release day. Also saw an extended trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road before Fast & Furious 7, and that's a...

Yup. They took what was looking to be a dire event and actually put on a great show. Gutted I'll be missing Raw now.

Re: movies
I hear a lot of people slating the 4th and 5th Elm St movies, but I actually really like them. Same with the Halloween sequels - they're all fun enough, up to and not including Resurrection. The Dream Child and The Dream Master? I think they're horrendous. Not quite as bad as part 2 admittedly, but...
