Re: Dimmu Borgir cancel
It would have been better to not book a replacement than book Faketushka. By booking them Bloodstock are aiding and abetting essentially the theft of intellectual property.

Re: Dimmu Borgir cancel
Yeah, outside of the 2 band drama which BOA have nothing to do with anyway, this is a very good replacement at extremely short notice. This incarnation of Batushka certainly have a significant following as well, so it's not like they've accidentally booked a band nobody wants to see either, the ave...

Re: Dimmu Borgir cancel
Pretty much says everything about Bloodstock that they're willing to book Faketushka. Either they are extremely ignorant to the current situation with the band or they just have zero morals. Not a good look either way.

Re: Next Announcement
Wow. Came back to say that even I couldn't imagine the downward trajectory Bloodstook took with the announcement of Machine Head in 2012 could have ended as this. Festival deserves to go bust.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
If the Greens want negative growth, they're going to have to start managing the UK population downwards, including implementing a one child policy and drastically reducing immigration.

Re: A free-for-all thread
Has anyone cooked game (pigeon, pheasant etc.) before? Yes, a fair few times. Different rules for different birds. Did you have anything in mind specifically? Was thinking of cooking some pigeon, maybe pan frying it? Does it come already plucked etc or do you have to take off all the feathers and s...

Re: Scottish Independence thread
Do you think we might see the Scottish National Liberation Army take some action and perhaps carry out some attacks in England to try and force independence? They are surely experiencing a surge in membership taking into account recent events.

Re: Scottish Independence thread
The internet independence warriors are being absolutely vile everywhere you look. Saying that people who voted no 'should be ashamed of themselves', are 'cowards who don't deserve to call themselves Scottish' and I even saw one person say 'only the older people voted no, they should be dead and leav...

Re: Scottish Independence thread
If Scotland go independent they will need to cut NHS spending by £400m, whilst Salmond plans to slash corporation tax, passing the pain onto taxpayers. Woohoo! Nice to see Scotland already planning to move towards that socialist dream!

Re: Scottish Independence thread
I hope the Scots realise that if the Yes vote wins then they'll have to put up with more of Salmond and Sturgeon. Exactly - this is the thing that does it for me. Every argument I've seen for the 'Yes' people is "We'll have our own government - we hate everyone in Westminster". Everyone h...

Re: The Relationships Thread
I take it that "Normies" is the same as "Straights". We used to use that all the time to describe straight laced people. I think it came out of the Hippy culture. Until the gays turned that to mean something different. It wasn't anything to do with sexuality. This. Christ, peopl...
