Re: Next Announcement

I have zero expectation that this year's festival will go ahead. Hopefully they can keep most of Friday, Devin, Dark Tranquillity and Sacred Reich for next year.

Yeah I'm liking that Myrkur record a lot, which was unexpected because I wasn't taken with her first one. Might have to go back and revisit it, don't think I ever gave the second one a listen.

Re: Next Announcement

Lost Society are ok, none of the others sound particularly interesting to me. Really shocked Lost Society are openers. Surely they are way bigger than Svalbard? Seems odd. There's still one more space on that stage but that won't change the Lost Society/Svalbard ordering. Maybe they just didn't wan...

Re: BLOODSTOCK METAL FESTIVAL - CLARIFIES 2020 EVENT POSITION & REVEALS FURTHER BANDS FOR AUGUST

If you love groove-based bands like Lamb of God, you’re going to love the development of LOST SOCIETY’s sound from their previous thrash roots.

Oh that's a shame

Re: Next Announcement

Same bands as on the leak and in the same place on the line-up. Early Friday is very thrash-heavy!

Didn't it get announced that they're supporting Saxon on tour later in the year?

Herd immunity by mass infection will only work if it's confirmed when you've had COVID-19, you can't get it again. There's no evidence of this.

Re: Necessity of a Smart-Phone

I usually go for the newer mid-range phones, currently on a Motorola G7 Plus. Don't want the flashiest thing going but I use it all the time. Spotify's steaming several hours a day, I'm more likely to watch YouTube on my phone than anything else. It's now been years since I even turned my laptop on ...

Re: Coronavirus

Vicky's been very bullish about the whole situation on Twitter for the last couple of days, I wonder if they're worried? Like others personally I'm not in a group that particularly needs to worry, but I've got 2 daughters who had lung problems when they were born and one has special needs. Throw in ...

Re: Next Announcement

Surprised there hasn't been much positivity towards Savage Master on here so far. They sound pretty suited to the majority's taste on this forum - melodic trad/power metal. Thankfully they're not overly cheesy so have got me interested - nice pick for an opening slot. Giving them a listen now, the ...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last: The Lounge Kittens @ Band on the Wall, Manchester Amazing amazing amazing. Played for nearly 2 1/2 hours, first set with just the three of them then after an interval another set with a backing band. One Step Closer in particular was amazing with the band behind it. Been a fan for 6 years and ...
