Re: Next Announcement

The only time it changed recently is last year and that's because of the weather on Saturday. There was still 27 acts billed for the main stage though.

Re: Next Announcement

Gave a couple of Idle Hands track a spin and thought they were great! Sunday is looking frankly amazing for me, Saxon, Priest, Diamond Head, Gloryhammer, Unleash the Archers and Orange Goblin are all must sees. Idle Hands sounding great too. So fuck if Hatebreed are shite.

HanowarTrueMetal wrote:Idle Hands released my favourite album of 2019, this is a fantastic addition to the line up.

They're like trad metal but also inspired by the Cure.

Colour me very intrigued.

Re: Next Announcement

Acid Reign were a shit-tonne of fun in the Sophie a few years back, see how that translates to an early afternoon slot on the main. Don't know the others, yet.

Re: Bands that got away... so far.

Dream Evil are the fist that spring to mind. Been a fan since Evilized (2003) but still haven't caught them live yet.

Brothers of Metal

Only discovered these following the release of their latest album (Emblas Saga) and they're bloody ace. Would love to see them at Bloodstock.

Re: Next Announcement

And someone above said there wasn't that much that appeals to them on the Brutal Assault line up....really? Mercyful Fate, Alcest, Katatonia, Evoken, Cradle Of Filth, Asphyx, Arcuturus, Havok, Mayhem, Myrkur, Mysticum, Obituary, Suffocation, Paradise Lost, Razor, Sigh, Venom, Vader....it's complete...

Re: Next Announcement

Other than Mercyful Fate there's nothing on that Brutal Assault line-up that appeals much to me that isn't already at Bloodstock (Devin, Sacred Reich). There's a lot of death and 'core which can all pretty much get in the bin and you've still got to avoid that cunt from Pantera.

Re: Tankard

Well we finally got Sacred Reich this year so maybe Tankard next year? Doubt there's bit enough spaces left for them at 2020.

Re: Unleash the Archers

A clash with Black Dahlia Murder would seem to be the best fit musically, hope they don't try squeezing them between Gloryhammer and Saxon because then I'll miss the end to go see Saxon.

Re: Next Announcement

Similarly Saxon also pulled a massive crowd in '14 and given their history with the festival they work great as a SG this year.
