Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Next: Twister, Wildthörn & Nephilim in Middlesbrough on Friday, mainly going for Wildthörn but will check the other two out too.

So it turns out Twister had pulled out a while ago so Wildthörn were headlining, result!

Next: Tim Minchin in Gateshead.

Re: Child of Bodom

Ah that's a shame. They're the band that got me into the more extreme side of metal and I still adore Follow the Reaper. Agreed that Hexed was really good so at least they're going out on a high. Here's hoping Alexi finds suitable replacements.

Re: Next Announcement

I hope Hobgoblin are still involved in the festival. With all the rebranding and change of approach they might stop being involved. I note the logo is currently missing from the Festival Partners section at the bottom of the page.

dvl666 wrote:So is it because its priest that no one is up in arms about a repeat booking like they were with Slayer, Megadeth and many more that had more of a gap?

Well yeah, because Priest are fucking legends whereas Slayer are shite and Megadeth are barely above average.

Re: Next Announcement

Priest and Behemoth as predicted then. Well happy with Priest and great that they're playing the Sunday. Yes it's quite soon but the timing's right and could very easily be the last time they play. Wonder what sort of setlist they're gonna be doing? Not that there was anything wrong with the last on...

Fuck yeah for Diamond Head. Happy with Paradise Lost. Phil Anselmo can fuck the fuck off. Don't know Life of Agony, time to give them a listen.

Re: 2019 Albums

I reckon 50-60% of all my music listening is through Spotify (I'm listening to Blind Guardian on it right now). The free version of is bollocks but Spotify Premium is ace.

I wasn't expecting a headliner but if they're announcing them both before Halloween that doesn't give them much time unless they announce two at once which isn't something they usually do.

You'll get your Killswitch, Code Orange, and Shvpes, and you'll like it. :flame:
