Re: Next announcement

So pleased with this announcement! Definitely surprised to see them book Combichrist, but I'm not complaining as I enjoy their music a lot. Watain I am glad to see back, and in a much better setting too.

Shadow of them former selves when I last saw them unfortunately :( would jump at the opportunity if they find their spark again though.

Really? When did you see them last? It's been about five years for me IIRC.

Re: Sophie stage post-band entertainment feedback

You just have to engage with the crowd, and know what they want to hear, they don't do that all and just play the same old shit every year that everyone keeps telling them they're bored of. They even came on this forum sometimes to try to listen to us, we told them we wanted changes, yet still it r...

Re: Camping chairs in the arena megathread

I think going no further than the sound stage is more than reasonable.

Re: Sophie stage post-band entertainment feedback

I didn't know all that Noodle, my first year was 2010. But I think they need to at least try to find someone else to do the DJing. With all the improvements elsewhere, it's a bit embarrassing that they still have the same guys with the same tired playlist.

Re: Sophie stage post-band entertainment feedback

Basically, it's the same thing every year. With maybe a few songs released that year and a few bands playing that year if you're lucky.

Pyrohex is very meh.

Re: Sophie stage post-band entertainment feedback

For all the complaints about 4DJOTA, I think they've done a reasonable job when I've been in there. It's not perfect, but having done it myself, I know just how hard it can be to please a live crowd as a DJ. FWIW, I haven't heard them play "Walk" for several years (admittedly, I haven't s...
