Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Four substitutes? Christ! I remember when you had one and you didn't really use him in case you got an injury and ended up with ten men. Sometime you would throw him on for the last ten minutes or so. That was the days of the real supersubs. You can probably remember when there were no subs at all ...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

"Well we played our second string tho"

When your second string has one of the best strikers in the league and a shitload of internationals, that ins't an excuse. Just give Wolve's their due.

Hell of a win mainly spurred on by Liverpools complete inability to defend. We all knew the back was their issue and still did nothing to fix it in the summer.

Watched the first episode and realised what a shit show it was gonna be. A bunch of boring character interaction, generic plotlines, yaddayadda.

In a statement, he said he was "torn between living as a faithful Christian and serving as a political leader". He said he should have dealt "more wisely" with questions relating to his faith during the election campaign, including his views on gay sex. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news...

Re: movies

As backwards as it sounds, I think that movie has really benefited from how badly it was reviewed. The hype was so high (Myself included), that the backlash of rage was humongous. That means the next wave of people seeing it have expectations of a Troll 2 level of shite, and are pleasantly surprised.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

Final poll results for Tory Leads ICM: 12+ ComRes: 10+ Panelbase: 8+ Opinium: 7+ Yougov: 7+ Kantar 5+ Survation: 1+ I'm expecting ICM/ComRes to be closest. Though for a fun fact, Survation are one of the few polling companies to have gotten the 2015 ones correct. They didn't publish their results at...

Nah, it's a curse.

Team of the year picks anyone? Starting XI and a bench. Mine would look something like this. Goals conceded this season: 25 - Spurs 29 - Man Utd 32 - Chelsea 39 - Man City ...
