Re: Next Announcement

Eugh Architects would be even worse than Parkway. Plus after ticket sales bombed in '19, would they risk another 'core headliner? Well apparently Parkway sold a lot of day tickets which are pretty lucrative. Also I dont think fests are gonna have difficulty selling tickets for next year as a lot ar...

Re: Next Announcement

They did say they wanted to book Merciful Fate this year and couldnt for some reason so id assume that would be their initial go to. But since most festivals are rolling over line ups etc its possible whatever stopped Bloodstock booking them this year may still apply. Personally hope its someone els...

Re: European Metal Festival Alliance

Been really enjoying it so far. Kampfar, Cult of Fire, Alien Weaponry and Rotting Christ all put on good sets and great to see some of the effort being put into the production. Mate convinced me to watch Amenra as well which wasnt my thing musically but looked very good. Still no replacement for a p...

Re: Next Announcement

New sets, not sure if its a live stream or recording sets but suspect its recorded due to all the bands being spread out everywhere.

Re: Next Announcement

Its gonna be a fucking weird year getting barely any festival announcements to get excited for since most fests 90% of the line up is rolled over

Re: Next Announcement

It makes you wonder what the point is when the only bands of any note they'll have that day will be the bands that were already playing - Night Flight, Necrogoblikon and Raised by Owls. The point is its a bonus, I dont think its intended to be some big extra thing to market long term and they dont ...

Re: Next Announcement

As far as I know there is lots of insurance that will only pay out under force majeure, different country but this was the case with Metaldays where they could only cancelled when the Slovenian government clarified the long term plans Since the UK government refuses to discuss anything more than a f...

Re: Next Announcement

Most festivals iv seen are rolling over as much of this years line up as possible and I expect Bloodstock to do the same. Given bands work in festival runs its probably financially nonviable for them to do anything else even if they wanted to

Re: Next Announcement

Metaldays cancelled today and Midgardsblot have said they expect to cancel so given along with Wacken / Summer Breeze etc it looks like the writing is on the wall for this summer.

Bloodstock will hold out for the government to cancel it rather than them but think its inevitable at this point

Re: Next Announcement

Im a bit more optimistic, if the peak happens before the end of April we could start seeing the lockdown relaxed by the end of May and so if that happens we could be back to some level of normality by July which might allow the August fests to go ahead.

Not something id put money on though

Re: Advice for first timers

Hi, 1 ) Beer was £4.50 a pint last year and for a main meal your looking at £7 - £10 and the quality is generally good 2 ) You can see a map of last years site layout from last year at the link below to get an idea and it rarely changed much https://www.bloodstock.uk.com/downloads/Bloodstock_Disney_...

Re: Next Announcement

Also, one of the few demographics I can't find a biggish fest for is Power Metal, which everyone wants BOA to book. Could be I'm not looking in the right place (happily stand corrected if I've missed it) but does show there isn't the market for it here. Im not into Power Metal but a lot of friends ...
