Re: Should Bloodstock really say it's a family friendly Festival?

No as I posted in the other thread I think its very irresponsible for Bloodstock to market the festival as family friendly. Its a festival of a load of adults cutting loose and getting fucked up for 4 days and most of the behaviour is not oriented round families at all Your gonna see drunk people, h...

Re: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly BOA 2022

Disclaimer: I'm a relatively new dad, so my take on this is probably reflective of that new situation. I do take your point regarding the festivals nature, and indeed the nature of festivals themselves. And that a parent attending the festival should be the primary manager of their child's wellbein...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

Yes Scandinavians do generally pay more tax than us and get excellent public services and infrastructure in return. If you want that level of public services and infrastructure is of course a choice but the point was that doing that has been shown to work very well economically and isnt some crazy e...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

The proposed Labour policies are nothing like policies in Venezuela. They are modeled off policies used in Norway / Sweden / Germany which you may notice are all doing pretty well with a happier population and less inequality than the UK The thing is, until the last couple of days I haven't heard J...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I suppose it's one way of saving the air fare and the planet- experience Venezuela in the UK by voting Labour The proposed Labour policies are nothing like policies in Venezuela. Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

It's not an enviable choice this election, but I'm willing to take a risk on Labours radical plans. It is a very big risk, however, and people should have their eyes open to that fact. I dont think its all that radical in the grand scheme of things really. Its a big change for the UK for sure and s...

Re: Use of Referendums

Im in favour of more referendums but on things that are just a matter of opinion not technical matters So for example I think gay marriage would have been legalised much earlier if we had put it to referendum and that would be suitable as it was just a matter of "do you think this is right or w...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I think its still looking like a win but not a big 1 however unlike at the start of the election I think there is now a small chance of a Labour victory Even if the Tories do win my hope is that Labour remember the policies in the current manifesto are popular for the 2022 election which will probab...
