Re: Next Announcement

I can't see how this will work for metal bands. I've watched a few live streams from the likes of Frank Turner and Levellers singer Mark Chadwick, where they sit with an acoustic guitar in their front room, banter and sing songs. But a metal band...I can't see it. Even if they play from a stage or ...

Re: Next Announcement

Yeah, also don't care about virtual festivals when you can just watch most band's full sets for free on Youtube. It seems like little more than bands trying to make money, which is fair enough but I'm not interested

Surely its too soon for that, its over a year away. I wonder if they are gonna be funny about the BLM thing and throw Phil Anselmo off the lineup.

Re: Next Announcement

You've made a few mistakes there - Sonata regularly tour here, I've seen them in Cardiff 3 times in the last 10 years I believe. Iced Earth also did a few full UK tours, it was probably the 2014 one but I definitely saw them in Bristol. They seem to have stepped off the touring since Stu Block becam...

Re: Next Announcement

Friday for me would still improve with a more popular Special guest and Skindred down to third Sunday did have an interesting Sophie so I hope they can retain those bands I have a feeling they will go for Lamb of God to replace Behemoth Wednesday and Thursday headliners I`d go for something with na...

Re: Next Announcement

With the extra day just being a few bands on Sophie. What? The extra day is a full day with main stage bands. No it's not. The festival clarified this in response to a question on Facebook. The Weds & Thurs next year are just the Sophie, New Blood & Jager stages. No main stage bands. It mak...

No because it will be Hatebreed. Much as I'd like Bossk, I expect them to play Arctangent next year now instead.

Re: Next Announcement

Anyone else notice Paradise Lost is no longer "Draconian Times in full" on the poster? That's an improvement for me if that's the case

Re: Next Announcement

Very disappointed they are continuing with this abortion of a lineup, but I'm at least happy they've lost a few bands (yay, no Hatebreed). I imagine they already had a headliner booked, hopefully it'll be someone actually decent. I have a feeling the extra Wednesday (and early Thursday) bands will b...

Re: Next Announcement

So whilst everyone in the U.K. is obsessing over corona virus our council tax has gone up 3% and politicians have had a 3% pay rise and in the grand scheme of things the mortality rate of corona in the U.K. equals that of michael barrymores swimming pool !media bullshit I don't think they've been t...

Re: Next Announcement

At the end of the day, it seems overbearingly obvious that this is just an insurance thing. I mean, when was the last announcement? The last one with Video Nasties etc. I think had to happen simply as someone messed up and posted too early. There's been nowt since. Hence I honestly believe they are...

Re: Next Announcement

I mean it is possible they've just moved the URL over from 2020 and they've just not finished removing all the bands? I'm trying to be hopeful here! If that is the case its a terrible decision, the headliners are fine I guess but they should at least get some proper special guests in, bands that wou...
