Re: Next Announcement

If they're gonna continue with the more mainstream bands the they could do with adding another stage at some point and bring back some folk/power to try to get the best of both worlds Considering the quality of the bands they are getting in the last few years I'm pretty sure they can't afford to ex...

Re: worst band on the lineup ?

For the festival, Bury Tomorrow. Why were these booked, especially as a top 3 band? They are passed their glory days anyway, and were never that good, but top 3? With so many other similar bands who are these for? Definitely don't fit on a 20th anniversary bill. That band had glory days?! Chart wis...

Re: Next Announcement

There is either a money issue, or a band availability problem; or a straight up choice to go in a slightly different direction with booking imo. (Maybe they're just testing the water for a broadening of the scope though - it's lost me mind). Its definitely not entirely by choice, they would have an...

Re: worst band on the lineup ?

My god so much choice! For me, Hatebreed. Musically trash, fans are trash, completely unredeemable. For the festival, Bury Tomorrow. Why were these booked, especially as a top 3 band? They are passed their glory days anyway, and were never that good, but top 3? With so many other similar bands who a...

Re: Next Announcement

also is it just me or is nuclear blast taking over i get they are a sponser but over half the lineup are signed to them Its always been that way, they used to just play a Nuclear Blast promo DVD on the main screen all day every day. I'd be absolutely fine with it if they picked the Nuclear Blast ba...

Re: Next Announcement

Also say Nekrogoblikon. Saw them last night, they were pretty good, and would fill the Evil Scarecrow slot pretty decently. The singer was a bit weird though, very little crowd interaction which doesn't really work for a gimmick band. Play-for-free joke band ? or are they bigger than that ? I'd say...

Re: Next Announcement

Forums in general have died a lot from the old days, as people move more and more to the bigger sites like Facebook, Reddit, Twitter. I mean there's a politcal point to make about corporations coming in somewhere new and taking out the little guy yet again... But it also doesn't help that there isn'...

Re: Next Announcement

Conjurer - play everywhere, getting a bit boring the amount I've seen them. Orange Goblin - play everywhere, were always boring Saxon - play everywhere, bland, uninteresting and overrated. The Sophie stage is a bit more interesting this announcement. Unleash the Archers are the kind of band that sho...

Re: Next Announcement

Yeah I reckon Saxon are nailed on as Sunday special guests. They're also doing an Italian festival called Rock the Castle in July. Big chance they'll do all of Europe but Vicky will forget about Saxon for Bloodstock. :P I like Saxon but am I the only one hoping they aren't playing? Would rather som...

Re: Next Announcement

Yeah I've got a feeling we'll get Whitechapel, will have been three years since they last played. Oh god please no. Still rank the first time they played as the worst live band I have ever seen. It was woeful. Actually wouldn't really want any of those bands. I don't mind Fleshgod, Municipal ...

Re: Next Announcement

Also, the next announcement is 10th December apparently. Re: Next Announcement

Maybe, just maybe, we'll get Mercyful Fate on the 10th as one last big band before prices go up. With them booked, it would explain why we've got as small an undercard as we did in 2018. I can't see Devin and Behemoth costing as much as Gojira and Nightwish did. Only reasons I can think of why we h...
