Re: BLOODSTOCK WRAPS UP ELEVEN BANDS FOR CHRISTMAS

Not a good announcement for me - I've seen Carcass five times, despite finding them one of the most boring bands of the most boring genres of metal. Satyricon are much the same - I like black metal, but Satyricon I find a bit stodgy. Sylosis too, very bland. Only band here I actually like are Evergr...

To be fair, those bands are bigger. And we all know Deicide will pull out anyway, so that'll give them a bump up.

Re: 3rd headliner

They have a heavy one, and a modern one, so I would think it's an older one... But that's usually the Sunday spot. I wonder if they can afford Pantera? Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'd certainly be curious. I'd say its more a case of if anyone else wants Pantera. If Download will book them they w...

Re: RATE THE BANDS 2023

Thursday Frozen Soul - 4/10 - No reflection on them - not my thing at all but friends wanted to watch them. Wandered off after a few songs. Visions of Atlantis - 8/10 - Far more like it, very enjoyable good singalong band to properly start the festival Skynd - 9/10 - seemed an odd choice for Bloods...

Re: BLOODSTOCK ANNOUNCES ABBATH - DEVILDRIVER CANCEL

It's probably worth pointing out that the reason for Devildriver pulling out is due to Dez dealing with complications from COVID. Jokes about not being subjected to their music at Bloodstock aside, I hope he makes a full recovery and can do what he loves on an international scale again. Of course, ...

Candlemass are a fantastic addition, as are Russkaja. Quite like Gaerea, Striker, Witchsorrow and Wytch Hazel too. Pretty decent lineup this year, surprisingly.

Re: BLOODSTOCK REVEALS THURSDAY LINE UP, PLUS 10 MORE FOR THE SOPHIE STAGE

I absolutely love Skynd. Not something I would ever think would fit in at Bloodstock, but great for me. After swearing this year I'd never be back, they've gone and booked bands I can't ignore. Zeal and Ardor, Skynd and Helloween are all massive draws for me, and throw in a few like Warkings and Dak...

Re: Next announcement

At the minute, possible Saturday day ticket for me based on Trollfest, Brothers of Metal and Zeal and Ardor. The line up is looking better than this year, but I must be honest I've lost a lot of interest in Bloodstock.

Re: Next announcement

Bloodstock put a poll up on their Youtube channel asking who people would like as the final headliner. The options are: Ghost Korn Avenged Sevenfold Trivium Sabaton Make of that what you will... :eyes:  To be fair to them, I may be wrong but it looked like one of the polls where the audience p...

Re: Next announcement

Couple of ideas about the final headliner: - Charlie Benante from Anthrax posted that he's drumming on the Pantera reunion tour. With Anthrax already playing on the Saturday could Pantera be the headliner? I sincerely hope not. I'd rather have my a rabid gibbon playing buzzsaw than watch racist Phi...

Re: Next announcement

If I'd been at the main stage when that announcement was made I'd've booed, utter dogshit with Zeal & Ardor the only relief (I do really like Unto Others, but they've been on and off BOA line-ups so many times it's not worth getting excited about). My understanding is that it wasn't well receiv...

Re: Wonder where Becky is now?

What was this? I must have missed it. Before Mercyful Fate someone from the stage asked for Becky Baldwin to come to the stage urgently. Then they brought her on to the stage and introduced her. They said something along the lines of "This is Becky. Hopefully you'll see more of her. If she agr...

Re: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly BOA 2022

The good Precious little this year, certainly in the way of bands, but Night Flight, Nanowar of Steel, Avatar, Cyhra and Sleep Token in particular were fantastic. Just being away. It was a late decision to go this year as the line up was pretty poor to my tastes, but I had some personal stuff and it...
