Re: Next Announcement

Really good announcement for me. Scarecrow are fine - I'd be bored of them any other year, but they'll be fun enough for closing the festival I suppose. The New Blood seems to be where its at though. Hanowar there is going to be great - the Jager Stage hasn't done them justice in the past. Fellowshi...

Re: Next Announcement

Hell sound like the best option so far but I'm guessing they've died a death.

Re: Next Announcement

I thought the band would have been announced by now. But they have played more than 3 times. I know people may question how I know but I've known the band for a long time! British band that's played more than 3 times and isn't already on the line-up (Saxon/Winterfylleth/Bloodshot Dawn/Evile). I rec...

Re: Next Announcement

Just listening to the podcast, apparently the Sunday Sophie headliner is coming soon - a British band that have played loads of times. My guess is Evil Scarecrow.

Re: Next Announcement

Summer this year still looks doomed unfortunately. on what basis? I won't believe the festival is happening until I'm walking through the gates, I just find it impossible to believe things will go back to normal enough to have festival crowds again within a few months. The raft of cancellations don...

Re: Next Announcement

2000 Trees seem like they've been heavily screwed over moneywise during this whole thing - they had no relief from the government, and had to set up a patreon to survive after last year's cancellation. They probably just can't take the financial risk. I imagine Arctangent will follow pretty soon, bu...

Re: Next Announcement

I'm pretty sure the go-to headliner in case of a cancellation will be Bullet. Vicky said on one of the podcasts that she was going to book them instead of Mercyful Fate, then realised that there would be riots. I imagine if anyone else cancelled they'll have no choice. Primitai and Napalm Death are ...

Re: Metal 2 the Masses 2021

I believe it's the usual amount, so a minimum of 1 per region but some regions might have a 2nd taken for the Jager stage etc. Weird, considering there's a whole other day to fill and little chance of any Europeans getting a slot. The only Euro M2TMs are Ireland, Poland and Norway though I think? T...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

I read somewhere that its 3 - 4 years in jail as part of his plea bargain, based on cooperation in other cases.

Although seeing as he's allegedly a founding member of a far right terrorist group that seems a bit lenient.

Re: Next Announcement

Another pretty boring announcement. Its a bit worrying, Vicky doesn't seem to have much knowledge of mainstage-sized UK metal bands beyond crap metalcore and retro-throwbacks. Its a bit worrying if all the announcements are just going to feature the same kind of thing.

Re: Next Announcement

Possibly, Toxic Holocaust and Black Dahlia Murder are both gone now and don't think they were mentioned in the last news. They were on Facebook, along with Nekrogoblikon and Cattle Decapitation (I may be missing some). I believe Vio-lence is the only US band still on the bill, so I'm expecting them...

Re: Next Announcement

I'm pretty sure she's said Hobgoblin is open Thursday, whether those plans have changed with the lack of M2tM though, who can say? Expecting Terra IV in the announcement considering Vicky said they are playing on the Damnation podcast. Too similar to Hacktivist for me, although they are better. I su...

Re: Next Announcement

Phil Campbell and The Wildhearts are two of the most boring, predictable hard rock bands, and they seem to play everywhere constantly. Nothing special there. Or maybe I'm just sad because I saw the picture first, and thought it was Haken being announced. Raging Speedhorn are one of the worst bands i...
