Arsames

I'm putting forward Iranian metal band, Arsames because they are facing up to 15 years in prison for playing the music they love.

Slave to Sirens

It would be a major coup if the first all female metal band from the Middle East, Slave to Sirens would play at Bloodstock. I've had a listen to them and they as good if not better than many of their male counterparts. Plus, they play in a part of the world where some face death for playing heavy me...

Black Emerald

I first saw this band when on the New Blood Stage in 2013. They have just released a new album and it sounds fantastic and so was their live show at their album launch party. Therefore, I think they at the very least deserve a spot on the Sophie Lancaster Stage.

Jello Biafra and DOA

Jello Biafra has been a major influence on the punk scene for over three decades. His last album with DOA has gotten great reviews, plus he would think Download to be too commercial. All reasons to have him come to Bloodstock.

Never saw them live but would love to. Danny Vaughn is the most underrated vocalist alive.

Confess

You might have read that the band Confess has been imprisoned in Iran for playing heavy metal. I think that once their release is secured, they should play Bloodstock as an inspiration against intolerance.

Re: The Best American Artist Never to Have Cracked Britain

Thinking about it again, I have to concede that Billy is not heavy enough for Bloodstock but that's why it's called a Wishlist. Probably Download would be better. As for the video, that particular one did make him look quite effeminate. I admit, I was just super pumped after listening to the "E...

Billy Squier

I'm talking about Billy Squier. While he rocked America and other countries in the early to mid 80s, he never made it in Britain. His one big appearance was the 1982 Reading Rock Festival. After listening to an album after so many years, I forgot how kick ass his music could be. Maybe it's time Brit...

Re: Blue Oyster Cult

The only original members left in the band are Eric Bloom and Duck Dharma but they would be worth seeing.

Re: Leaves Eyes

In 2010, they won my award for "Band I had never heard of previously who impressed me a lot." So, why not let them come in 2016.

Ted Nugent

In spite of his political beliefs, the man can still wail on a guitar and having seen him live twice, I can say that he is magnificent in concert. So, why not let him play Bloodstock? Should he play, I'll be at the front so if he goes into one of his right wing, republican party rants, I'll be the f...
