Re: A free-for-all thread

If you have the time, it can be worth going through each of the components listed on your chosen laptop on User Benchmark (http://www.userbenchmark.com/) - I did that when shopping for my SSD and I've got one of the best on the market (Samsung EVO 850) - you can compare hard disks, SSDs, CPU and gr...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Ah cool, cheers! I didn't think about graphics chips, are they actually needed outside of gaming?

Where does intel celereon/pentium fit with regards to the i5? Am I right in thinking they're "worse" than the i3/5/7 processors?

Re: A free-for-all thread

Looking to get a new laptop, can anyone here explain processors to me? like, what's considered good/bad/necessary? Looking on the PC world site and it's largely intel-"something". I don't play games or do anything particularly taxing on computers afaik so I don't want anything extravagant ...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

The BBC have a little game trying to explain hung parliaments by getting you to form a coalition by adding various parties' seats to either Labour or the Tories. There evidently hasn't been much thought put into it after that as I managed to get Labour a majority with the help of the Lib-Dems along ...

Re: What pissed you off today

I've been on the Nuclear Blast site refreshing both the Keep It True search results and tickets section since 10 minutes before they were supposed to go on sale, and yet they've apparently sold out without even appearing on screen for me. German efficiency meinen ficken arsch. If it's any consolati...

That version isn't really a film, it was repackaged as tv mini-series at one point though I think they've since re-released that as some sort of uncut edition of the film.

I think now is as good a time as any to remind ourselves of the last time Metallumz posted here: http://www.bloodstock.uk.com/community/ ... 3#p1443373

Re: movies

Funny Games I didn't realise until after watching Funny Games that there was actually a German version which pre-dated this one by ten years, so I fully expect to hear the usual cries of "the original is far better". However, my understanding is that this US remake (directed by the same c...

Re: Scottish Independence thread

With the vote now only 2 months away, the Yes and No camps are neck and neck If you genuinely believe that, I'd get yourself down to a bookies ASAP. They have the No campaign as a firm favourite, so you'll get a very attractive price on a Yes outcome. Personally, I tend to trust the bookies on this...

this subreddit http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/22gxyl/the_female_imperative/ i'm torn between laughter and vein popping fury. basically neckbeards telling themselves that women are sluts and they can easily bang them but don't want to because they're sluts. You're browsing TRP wrong. Yo...

New Community was a pretty great comeback actually. I also liked how season 4 is now referred to as "the gas leak year".

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Some people do actually dress as saints and biblical figures for Halloween. Additionally, Hallowmas as a christian thing is about celebrating saints and praying for the recently departed. Also what Gandalf said, festivals like Samhain existed way before Halloween, it doesn't really have one central ...
