Re: The Book thread
Coming towards the end of Robin Hobb's 'Ship of Magic' (book one of The Liveship Traders). Took a while to get into it, but enjoying it now. Probably break to finish re-reading LOTR before I move on to book two though.

Re: The Book thread
Just read through Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower' for the first time. First 3 books (Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three, Waste Lands) are superb. Took me a while to care about the story in Wizard & Glass, but I enjoyed it by the end. Liked Wolves of the Calla. Things got a little shaky in Song of ...

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Latest Inside No.9 was a bit rubbish, and I saw the ending coming a mile away.
Ah well... 3 excellent episodes out of 4 ain't bad.

Haven't laughed so much at half an hour of British comedy for ages.
This has been brilliant so far. Seems to have gone under the radar of everyone I know though... and not having much success in convincing them to give it a try.

 Is that the 'one ring's inscription tattooed on your chest? Mad Tolkien fan or what? It is indeed. I'm a massive Tolkien fan. For example for my 18th birthday, my parents asked if I wanted a laptop or something, and I said 'No, I wany leather bound, gold leaf editions of Lord Of The Rings ple...

Apart from the weak ending, I thought it was a pretty good episode! Some classic Cartman in there.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
South Park hasn't been great so far this season. I know they're proud of the fact that an episode takes 6 days to get the idea, write it, record it, animate it and air it... but just because it can be done, doesn't mean it should be. I think the episodes would really benefit from some more time spen...
