Re: Geoff Tate... shit live?

Maybe his rather unspectacular solo career has indeed humbled him a bit.

If the tour goes ahead, I think I will check it out.

Re: 2021 albums

Another great Album from Blaze Bayley - War Within Me.

He has only ever done one weak album post Maiden (King of metal) all the rest have been quality. And this new one is up there with his very best stuff.

He should be way bigger than he is imo.

Geoff Tate... shit live?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has seen Geoff live at all. Is he any good? Im listening to Rage for Order right now, and its making me want to check out his solo tour. The thing is, I saw Queensryche with him many years ago, and i have to say it was one of the most disappointing gigs I've been to....

Re: Iron Maiden Beer - Robinsons Brewery

I like the maiden beer a lot (though Old Tom is still my favourite from Robinson's). However, im big on hobgoblin too, and as the previous post says, its been a good relationship between the fest and witchwood.

So yes to Trooper, but only if we get the selection we usually have too.

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

I read somewhere that its 3 - 4 years in jail as part of his plea bargain, based on cooperation in other cases. Although seeing as he's allegedly a founding member of a far right terrorist group that seems a bit lenient. 3 years seems very lenient as from the pictures he seemed like one of the ring...

Its most likely a plea bargain. Fucked up American system stuff.

It's more of classical music with death vocals but I used to listen to a band called Angizia back in the 90s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arK1uGs1FcY Thats perfect! Awesome! I'd never heard of Angizia before. I do have a couple of foreshadowing albums, they are pretty good. Glad to help. I bough...

90's Gothic Death/Doom recommendations

This is a pretty specific request for recommendations in a relatively niche style. Back in my late teens and early 20's i was really obsessed with MDB, Paradise Lost, Anathema, Tiamat and Katatonia. Recently I started listening to Celestial Season's debut from 94 (?) and it really has that same feel...

Re: 2021 albums

Really enjoyed the new Moonspell (Hermitage), low key and a bit pink Floyd like, is a slow burn, subtle with some tasteful compositions. Yoth Iria - As the flame withers. This is a really strong and very melodic Greek BM gem, looks like its sold out atm for physical formats, but there is new stock d...
