Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
I don't like any party's key policies enough to vote for any of them, but the Cons are the least worst . Labour are being too ambitious economically and they are borderline loony on defence and immigration. It's been pointed out that Labour have only ever been elected when they've moved to the cent...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
I can't believe that we're in a country where people can watch Boris fumble his way through questions and we're still talking about him taking a majority. I don't especially like Corbyn but of the two only one of them has actually answered any questions, and at the very least will let people make a ...

Re: Next Announcement
Parkway's crowd looked large but once you got up to the where the cameras/disabled area is there was acres of space. To be honest, I think Evil Scarecrow's crowd the same day was probably quite a bit larger from what I saw. Can't compare it to the other headliners as I was too far forward to gauge c...

Re: Next Announcement
Parkway's show was magnificent. Great use of lighting and general pyro, and the sound was really good for them. Admittedly, if you don't like their style of music, then you may struggle, but that was definitely a headliner worthy show from a talented band. We had about 10 people in our group, most ...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
The Good The atmosphere - everyone from the staff to the fans were absolutely fantastic this year all across the weekend The bands - To be honest even the bands I didn't like at least put on a decent show from what I could see. No obvious blowouts, and an overall good weekend. The queue (or lack th...

Re: Next Announcement
Hmmm, I like Taake but by the time they come on the rest of Saturday will have probably eroded my enthusiasm. I like Anthrax and Cradle but other than that the Saturday is one of the worst Bloodstock days ever...it genuinely looks like the sort of festival day I started going to Bloodstock to get a...

Re: PARKWAY DRIVE - CONFIRMED AS BLOODSTOCK 2019 SATURDAY NIGHT HEADLINER
I agree the social media handling of this announcement has been terrible. The other day Vicky posted a rant on a Facebook group, saying how "disappointed" she was at the fact people didn't like it and that people were being childish. Within a few minutes comments were turned off on that p...

Re: Next Announcement
Well there we have it, arguably the worst headliner they've ever announced.
There better be something decent on in the Sophie stage that night.

Re: Next Announcement
Surely neither Architects nor Parkway Drive are anywhere near big enough to headline - tbh any higher than 4th down (if they really had to book them) would be a travesty. Devin isn't a bad shout - 8 years since he last played, got a huge following etc. Would be a much better shout than the aforement...

Re: Next Announcement
I thought they'd played 3rd top but yeah, you're right. Actually I'm amazed they got billed above Testament and from memory the latter had a much bigger crowd. Blind Guardian are one of my all time favourite bands but until fairly recently they've been virtual unknowns in the UK...although things h...

Yeah I've seen a few articles about her battles with depression and mental health - it's unfortunate that her darkest thoughts finally consumed her. I quite like a few Huntress songs too. RIP

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Well, back to earth with an abysmal second half/extra time performance. Only one team even tried to win that and they deserved the win. Huge questions over Sterling, Kane, Alli, Walker after today. Good enough run but let's not pretend it wasn't because of the piss easy run through. I doubt Southgat...

I thought about posting something along the lines of 'Don't cry for me Argentina' but after seeing the wonderful footage of Maradona bawling his eyes out, that fat cunt can cry me a river all night long :D https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/624/cpsprodpb/C111/production/_102152494_maradona.jpg N...
