Found myself playing Quake a lot over the past week.
Not enough hours in a day.

And how they can't share the disc between two xbones?

Re: Computer Games Thread
The thing with the new consoles is, I can understand why people are going to go with a PS4 over an Xbox One.
Hundred quid cheaper, no DRM, no Kinect and a more powerful machine?
Come Christmas time the hundred quid could be a deal breaker.

Tried Trooper Ale for the first time as Morrisons stock it...
Pretty nice, reminds me of Fruits Of The Forest (Wytchwood) for some reason, it's got this dry golden taste to it though. Which I'm not really a fan of. But it's one I'd buy every now and then rather than a regular thing.

John Carter was good, even though half of the stuff in it was stolen by George Lucas later on for Star Wars. (was a book by Edgar Rice Burrows before the film)

Re: Computer Games Thread
Not been here for a bit, the conversations still on the Xbox One? God, such a decisive lot around here. :P I've kinda had a major think and my thoughts about it so far. The good; PC gamers will be getting better ports because of the x86 architecture in the machine, updated graphics for consoles and ...

Re: Computer Games Thread
The thing about buying a PC now is that it'll be outdated in a shoter span on time than it would if the consoles weren't brought out :( Not sure I'd agree with this, (I do to an extent) my system was already three years old when I bought it and it's still going strong and that was two years ago, bo...

That's the only thing Microsoft had up against Sony!
Also, Angry Joe's rant is very amusing, informative and pretty much what I've been saying in here.

Re: Computer Games Thread
Yes, that would be a bad deal, however for people who know, buying that game for more money new, to make an overall saving will be the smarter thing to do. Im in two minds about the preowned market really. Part of me would like to see it stamped out because shops have become far too greedy offering...

Re: Computer Games Thread
The PS4 is more powerful, due to GDDR5 RAM being used as opposed to DDR 3 (GDDR5 is the kind that's used in Video cards right now, but it's shared with the CPU so I've got no idea what it does) On the GPU side, it looks like the PS4 has the equiverlant (SP?) of a Radeon 7850 and the Xbox has a Rade...

Re: Computer Games Thread
Honestly, people getting on their high horse about having to pay extra to play used games makes me laugh. I do buy preowned games, its not hard to factor in the online pass or whatever to see if it really works out cheaper and if it does, go for it, if not just buy the game new. I have no problem w...

Re: Computer Games Thread
MS Event was a bit disappointing IMO. Not enough facts, too much marketing. The technical specifications felt VERY rushed, seemed obvious that they didn't want anyone to focus on those as they are more than likely inferior to the specs of the PS4. Agreed, the specs on the Xbox One are virtually the...

Re: Computer Games Thread
Some more news. The Xbox one will charge for the use of used games, as it's linked to an account system and if any other account tries to access the game, they need to pay for the use of it... After they've bought it. You can however play at a friends house IF you're signed into your own account. ht...
