Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

David Meyler should actually be thanking Alan Pardew.

At least some people have heard of him now.

Re: movies

In theory i'm ecstatically excited about this movie, used to watch the 50's and 60's movies as a kid...but in practice i've already been let down by American attempts to portray Godzilla and feel a little uneasy about this film.

Re: What has made you happy today

I think the real life Tottenham are probably blaming him for fucking up their season. :P Well to be fair it wasn't like they weren't paid enough for him to rebuild the squad. Can't really blame Bale for the fact that with a transfer budget of over £100m Spurs still managed not to improve. (i think ...

Re: movies

I'm not gonna say anything other than out of the Tarantino films you say you enjoyed only one of them is a Tarantino film(in so much that he directed it). You might well be right, i actually don't pay too much attention to directors and that was just from a glance at his Wiki filmography. You've se...

Re: movies

I know opinion is subjective and all, but.. No. Come on mate, you have to give me more of a reason for your disagreement than "no". Have you seen any other Tarrantino films? Also, C S Lee played two different characters in the film. I have, i've enjoyed a couple over the years (reservoir ...

Re: movies

Oh and not to mention the fact that this movie would have been enhanced a fair bit by a good score and they even had Ennio Morricone for it a very famous composer for Spaghetti Western scores...and yet he's limited in how much of his material was used (one or two pieces only if i'm not mistaken) and...

Re: movies

Django Unchained SPOILERS Ok so this is the movie that Tarantino decided would be a brand new Spaghetti Western (an example of a spaghetti western would be Clint Eastwood's Dollars trilogy)...if this movie was seriously meant to be comparable to spaghetti westerns it was a resounding failure. The c...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Stamford Bridge is usually pretty quiet, embarrassingly but I've seen it be deafening a few times. Namely that CL Semi Final against Barcelona when we were robbed :P YOU were robbed? ;) May I remind you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z-valuHLCs Hmm fair point but hey you got revenge on UEFA...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

The loudest stadium i ever visited was Celtic's, i was pretty young but i remember it being pretty deafening. Anfield always seems pretty loud too but i wouldn't be able to vouch for that personally. The Etihad can definitely make a bit of noise too but the players have to earn it by playing well an...

Re: What has made you happy today

REASONS TO BE HAPPY * I'm currently in bed with the electric blanket whacked up to the hottest setting whilst the frigid cold winds blow horrendous amounts of rain soaking everything in a frozen, wet maelstrom of flying branches, dustbins and debris...but like i said, i'm warm and very comfortable....
