Booked my tickets for the Soilwork gig next month and the DevilDriver gig in April. Well excited! :D It's been ages since I've been to a gig.

Re: What has made you happy today

That's the quote they give you online. When you take your car to them they'll have a proper look and probably start knocking money off for things like scratches and other issues with the car. Happened to my manager, they knocked about a grand off his after they took a look so he took it elsewhere. ...

Re: What has made you happy today

If you don't have a Kelley Blue Book, just browse Autotrader and find similar prices. Yours has a very high mileage for its age though. I won't expect you to get over £900 or so for it. £900 isn't a great deal more than the WeBuyAnyCar.com quote. I've put it on at the recommended price but if I get...

Re: What has made you happy today

I'll be picking my old car up from the garage at 11 and then it's fully prepped to sell. :D Will be putting it on AutoTrader sometime this afternoon. How much would you put a 56 plate, 1.2 Clio Campus (8 valve) with about 152,000 miles on the clock on for? I was thinking about £1300.

Re: What pissed you off today

If they do just send (by post, including a copy of the email) a copy of your renewal note that states the No Claims. Make sure you get a layout of the fusebox from somewhere (find one on the internet for car), usually the cigarette lighter has a fuse all to itself. Usually they're easy to get to, a...

Re: What pissed you off today

Tenner says it's the fuse for the cigarette lighter. Bit of foil wrapping from a chewing gum wrapper or something fell in and shorted it. Happens a lot. But yeah, with the NCD, your previous insurer might be able to provide a specific letter that states the number of years of no claims, not all off...

Re: What pissed you off today

That's bullshit, you can transfer NCD between insurers as long as you can produce a cover note with that detail on it. It's up to an insurer to say you can't have 8 years NCD on many policies you have with them, but there is nothing stopping you having 2 policies with 2 different insurers and your ...

Re: What pissed you off today

AXA insurance company! They're not accepting my proof of 8 years no claims discount. At first they said it was because the NCD was on another policy with another insurer and I can't have the NCD on both policies so today, I cancelled my NCD with the insurance on my old car at a cost of £80 and AXA h...
