Why would having a female leader make a difference?

Re: Next Announcement

The Wishlist hath been the quietest year I have ever seen it, whether people dont have the ideas, dont feel listen to, feel its a foregone conclusion, bored, im not sure I don't think the people booking the bands may much attention to the forum wishlist, so I don't think there's much point requesti...

Re: Next Announcement

Careful - you'll open yourself up for the predictable 'kids these days!' backlash  Back to your point, I would say that they're too big for the Sophie stage - but only because they've been away and haven't played live in so long (particularly in the UK). They will get the inevitable bump in cr...

Re: Next Announcement

Couldn't Mercyful Fate could also headline the Sophie Lancaster stage? It would give them extra set time than the Special Guest slot. Also, I don't think they are as big as people think, I'm definitely showing my age here (born at start of the 90's) and I have to admit I had never heard of them bef...

Re: Next Announcement

I think Saxon are the Sunday special guests, I've a feeling a band like Testament will be playing as well. It would be fantastic if MF could play but as much as we post suggestions of bands we all want sometimes it really is either logistics or if a band wants to play another festival. Except there...

Re: Ghost

Looks like the door time is the same for Leeds which would imply the same stage times. Guess I'm in no rush to leave the pub then.

Re: Rock Fest Barcelona 2020

Reef?! As in the shit Britpop band??? Unfortunately yes. I'm not that surprised at their inclusion as (although Reef are far shitter than these two bands) Thunder and FM have played before and gone down well. It's just that whilst the festival has a few extreme bands on the bill every year, the bal...

Next headliner confirmed - Kiss

Also confirmed: Gotthard, Nile, Bloodbath, Belzebubs, Myrath, Mind Driller, Evil Invaders

Happy with Kiss & Gotthard but the rest of the announcement does nothing for me. Still a bit light on the melodic/power metal side of things for me

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

That's a shame to hear. :( I've got tickets for HRH sleaze and Hammerfest there next March as it's right on my doorstep. Hopefully, they'll sort these issues out before then as it will feel weird moshing to Napalm Death far away from the stage! Do you mean HRH AOR? Hammerfest is there but HRH Sleaz...

Last gig - Hard Rock Hell at Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth (no comment on the on-site accommodation as we stayed off-site at a local BnB) Dear oh dear. I know the change of venue was forced on them without a large amount of notice but fuck me what an absolute shit-show this turned out to ...

Re: Iron Maiden 2020

I think the term 'decent support' was referring to the idea that Maiden are finally taking out someone of name value rather than their a mixture of some boring metalcore shite like Killswitch Engage with one of their shitty kid's bands as openers
