Re: Hammerfest 13

I like Lordi so far but that's about it. Seems like it isn't just Bloodstock struggling to book people, everyone's downsizing . Shame, as Birmingham definitely doesn't have the same vibe as a holiday camp. Really? Doesn't seem that different from previous line ups tbh Yeah, seems pretty standard fo...

Re: Hammerfest 13

Just seen the first set of bands announced for this - Lordi, Unleashed, Raging Speedhorn, Blaze Bayley and then the usual load of nobodies. Doesn't exactly create much excitement. Maybe they've realised how awful that new venue in Yarmouth is. We went to HRH in November there and it was so bad it pu...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last gig - Rhapsody of Fire @ Rebellion in Manchester Caught both support bands (Collibus and Dendera) who were both instantly forgettable and very bland. Rhapsody of Fire however were on top form and after initially thinking it was going to be a rather sparse crowd, the venue filled up a bit more f...

Re: Next Announcement

What made you buy a ticket in the first place? This is quite possibly the worst BOA line up there's ever been.... and I'm including the times it was a 1.5 day fest in 2005 and 2006. If looking for something else to do during the same weekend, the best festival in Europe just happens to be taking pl...

Re: Next Announcement

There's still only 1 band across the whole of Friday and Saturday that I'd go out my way to watch (Paradise Lost). Good grief this is looking pretty dire. Hope the weather is nice for campsite drinking otherwise I'm gonna be screwed. If you want to spend upwards of 200 quid to sit in a field drinki...

Re: Next Announcement

Vicky confirmed announcement for 11 tomorrow Due to the lower key build up than usual, I’m guessing a load of Sophie bands Given the lack of big names of the main stage, any announcement now isn't even worth a build-up. But you're probably right - a bunch of pub bands nobody's heard of for the 2nd ...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last gig - Terrorvision @ The Warehouse, Leeds First trip back to this venue since seeing Blaze Bayley play to fewer than 50 people in 2004. Gig was sold out so was pretty sweaty and rammed but a great show nonetheless - Terrorvision were their usual bouncy, energetic selves and they always bring th...
