That is all.

That is a good bit...I found the whole film to be very average. Standard Rom-Com with a few half decent jokes in it. You,Me and Dupree but substituting Owen Wilson with an actor.

Re: movies

Just look at 300 and Watchmen. Watchmen was also shit, I'll give you 300 though :) The Avengers, Taken, Star Trek (the remake and First Contact). I'd actually agree with you on these, although was Star Trek really a remake? A reboot yes, but not a remake in anyway. I'll also add to that list The Ro...

Re: movies

I have high hopes for Man Of Steel (superman) especially as Zack Snyder is directing it which will mean nothing but fantastic visuals . Fuck visuals. Avatar was "nothing but fantastic visuals" and that was shit. I'd like a good story and a clever script please. Suckerpunch was directed by...

Re: movies

Fast and The Furious 5. It's actually the first in the franchise that I've seen...always meant to watch some of the others, but always had something better to do...but it was the wifes birthday yesterday and she bought the blu-ray so we had to watch it. The action has now moved to Rio where Brian (P...

Re: movies

I think people are giving Ridley Scott too much credit with a lot of these things. He didn't create Alien...he didn't write Alien...in fact as far as I can tell looking at IMDB he has nothing to do with the Alien franchise except directing the first movie. The only two people who've been involved si...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Final ever episode of House ended the way i predicted, well about 90% of the way i predicted. A very House-like ending with only one thing I could quibble over but one of the best endings for a show I've seen. It was a good ending, curious to know what you would quibble over? Part of me was hoping ...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

but then, viewing figures dont seem to mean much these days. Alcatraz, which averaged about 4 million viewers by the end of its first season has just been cancelled, but Touch which has had even less viewers, has been renewed. but then they are both run by Fox, and everyone knows what morons they a...

Re: movies

coke from the cinema is such a rip off i refuse to buy it. its half water and then they fill half the cup with ice! No, it's made with concentrate, the same as coke from any other place. I agree they over fill with the ice, but you can ask for no ice Thats how cinemas make there money though, the m...

Re: movies

I paid £6.30 to see The Avengers on the opening thursday afternoon. Prices are reasonable if you're able to go at odd times. I never buy food at the cinema...to be honest I've never understood why people feel the need to eat during a film...can't you go 2 hours without food!!? They obvs can't. One ...

Re: movies

Even on Orange wednesdays had to pay £8 though, for this new 'xtreme' thing the vue cinema near me is doing. I don't see how the fact that the film is in 3D and the screen has new leather seats justifys the place charging a person potentially £16 to see a film on any other day of the week. Do these...

Re: movies

Loads of people have said thats a cracking film. I just don't think its going to be my cup of tea. Something about Marvel comic films leave me cold. The only comics I collected as a kid was the Beano and the Dandy. They'd be welcome to make a film on the Numskulls. Fucking adored that in the Beano....

Holy fuck I'm actually crying. Super was the most intense hour and a half of movie I've seen in a long fucking while. It's just... It's amazing and terrible and beautiful and horrifying and you think you know but you don't and dear fucking god. Watch it. Now. I watched it earlier, it was deffinatel...

Thanks guys, it was hard work for the wife, but it's worth it in the end :) She's named after one of my favourite bands. Awesome :) We had the name chosen for a girl for ages (since boxing day when we watched the DVD I bought her for Christmas)...incidentally she missed out to being born to Si...

Re: movies

Consider yourself warned :P To me it felt like they all agreed that, on paper, it was a great idea. But the execution just didn't happen. Also drink every time someone mentions Seth Rogan being thin. I also saw it in the cinema. While it was no where near the worst film ever but it was very mediocr...
