Re: Coronavirus
That Coronavirus deaths weren't included in the second graph Or that most of the extra deaths were not caused by CoviD19. Are you suggesting 6000 people suddenly just died in a week of something else when there's hardly any road traffic accidents and A & E admissions at the moment? May not be t...

Re: Next Announcement
I've heard rumours there are already questions about whether they'll be able to go ahead next year. Lockdown will be finished, but mass gatherings might not be just to avoid the virus spreading again. I really hope that's not the case. Next year? As in a year and a half away? No way can anyone pred...

Re: Next Announcement
I have zero expectation that this year's festival will go ahead. Hopefully they can keep most of Friday, Devin, Dark Tranquillity and Sacred Reich for next year. I have little hope the virus will abate until near year's end; was just pointing out that at this rate even if it were to suddenly disapp...

Re: Next Announcement
Really shocked Lost Society are openers. Surely they are way bigger than Svalbard? Seems odd. Lost Society aren't very big, their last UK tour took in venues like The Boston Arms in London which is 200 capacity according to google (either way it's small from when I've been). Think Svalbard have mor...

Re: 2020 Albums
Currently checking out the new Testament. Too soon for me to say how it ranks against their back catalog, as it only came out today!! Might be soon but it's been awhile since an album hit me so hard so quick. I usually reserve judgement for a few days but this one had immediate impact. Wasn't...

Thanks. Wonder if its going to be anything more than the Lost Society one they leaked the other week.
Maybe one or two extra bands but I expect it to just be officially announcing the leaked bands.

Re: 2020 Albums
Not albums from this year but I've been trying to listen to thrash bands from this century that I've never bothered with before. Warbringer, Exmortus, Terrifer, Amken, Tantara and Ultra-violence are all good so far. I approve  Speaking of thrash, Testament's new album is out. On the first few ...

Re: Next Announcement
If sacrificing festival season this year aids beating this pandemic then it''s something that'll have to be done. It'll make next year's event feel a lot more special and I'd even put aside any reservations about a sub par line up

Re: Coronavirus
Now the real question is, will they press the drivers into delivering them? As long as Briatore isn't in charge of organizing the deliveries my driveway wall should remain intact.... Are you referring to Crashgate from the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix? I'm glad someone got the reference

Re: 2020 Albums
So what with a lot more free time now I've been able to listen to a lot more new albums - Lucifer Solid album and a step up from their previous. Does drop in places but overall good. - Bodycount Slow descent since Manslaughter but got some decent bangers in it. - Wolf It's good but nothing stands ou...

Re: Next Announcement
So what’s the deal if the headliners pull out but festival goes ahead I guess somewhere in the small print it will say lineup subject to change so no refunds I believe (though not an expert on the matter) if there is a significant change to the bill refunds have to be offered, as to what quantifies...

Re: Coronavirus
Efforts are afoot to produce new ventilators though. Formula One teams have immense capabilities to build a lot of them fairly quickly, particularly Mclaren, Mercedes, Williams and Red Bull. All the F1 teams have fuck all to do right now too as the first part of the season has been wiped out so thi...

Re: Next Announcement
Wonder if the current situation will alter/defer any band additions. Can see BOA wanting to try and keep any momentum going but wonder if bands will put a hold on any upcoming dates being announced in case they need to pull the plug
