Re: Next Announcement

So what’s the deal if the headliners pull out but festival goes ahead I guess somewhere in the small print it will say lineup subject to change so no refunds I believe (though not an expert on the matter) if there is a significant change to the bill refunds have to be offered, as to what quantifies...

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

I don't really need any more t-shirts that I'm not going to wear though. I'm more into buying small accessories now, like fridge magnets and wristbands. I wanted to get a Testament wristband last weekend in Manchester but the march stall was cash only. Who the hell carries cash nowadays? Who has a ...

Re: Coronavirus

Efforts are afoot to produce new ventilators though. Formula One teams have immense capabilities to build a lot of them fairly quickly, particularly Mclaren, Mercedes, Williams and Red Bull. All the F1 teams have fuck all to do right now too as the first part of the season has been wiped out so thi...

Re: Incineration Fest - Camden Town 09/05/20

I'm conflicted because is a gig really worth infected your nearest and dearest anyway? They're releasing a statement later today (weird to have an announcement of an announcement of this kind of nature) but imagine it's not happening on the original date at the very least. Oh I wouldn't go if the r...

Re: Incineration Fest - Camden Town 09/05/20

My concern about this fest is if the Government's "plan" continues as they say then it will be just when they start the hardcore social distancing. So I'll wait until May to get a ticket. To be honest I'm resigned to all gigs up until July being cancelled or postponed, any that do go ahea...

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

At least we have some potentially great albums coming out this year. Testament, Nightwish, Warbringer, Havok and Sojourner all have albums coming out soon. In the absence of live shows I hope to be able to spend my money on albums instead. If it helps bands get through this fallow period then it's ...

Re: Next Announcement

Wonder if the current situation will alter/defer any band additions. Can see BOA wanting to try and keep any momentum going but wonder if bands will put a hold on any upcoming dates being announced in case they need to pull the plug

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

Wonder if bands will move to an online pay per view thing (kinda like Devin did for Retinal Circus years ago) to try and recoup some costs if viable

Re: Incineration Fest - Camden Town 09/05/20

They have/had started announcing which stage a band was on per day. Bloodbath headlining Ballroom, Dark Funeral Subbing and MGLA also. I say had as they've posted about Vomitory today but nothing about what stage...

Re: Next Announcement

Its hard to imagine the hysteria lasting until August anyway, and the UK government does seem like it wants to carry on business as usual. I imagine by then we'll either be fine or all dead so it won't matter. Economically we've got next to no choice but to try and carry on :eyes: So Bloodstock hav...

Thought it was Domination supporting?

Will definitely keep an eye on this, both bands were great when I've seen them

Re: coronavirus and its effects on the economy of Metal

How big an impact will this have on the 'industry' of Metal? So many bands are cancelling tours and gigs. Many smaller festivals seem to be going completely under, leaving the organisers in massive debt. Bands (Atlantian Kodex) have been asking their fans to help them by buying merch for cancelled ...

It's a big shame but to be expected really. Hopefully they get to follow through on this and play the UK at some point in the future.
