Re: "Non-Bloodstock" bands you would accept
Although when you look at the history of metal (and bands pre-Death metal being seen as metal in their time context) I think the problem is that for a lot of younger people a) most of your average punters wouldn't look at the booking of say Whitesnake in that context so would look unmetal in that se...

Re: Next announcement
Kiss are easily bigger Tha both bands Not in the UK they aren't, both LP and Metallica play and sell out the o2 in London, Kiss didn't sell out the smaller Wembley arena on their last tour, and Kiss had the rarity advantage. Except you said it was in the US where they were paid $400,000. I'm not ev...

Re: Is the New Blood Stage working?
I think the problem is that Simon from Beholder has the final say who appears...and he seems to prefer that doomy/sludgey type thing to anything else. My mate's band Warcrab played this year and were taken aback by the size of the crowd they got. So in that sense it was a great experience for them....

Re: "Non-Bloodstock" bands you would accept
Whitesnake? How are Whitesnake not a "Bloodstock" band? From the last few years BOA seem to be moving away from classic rock, they would of fitted in a few years ago next to europe and twisted sister; so i thought i'd lump whitesnake in there if we're talking about the direction bloodstoc...

Re: Is the New Blood Stage working?
I would say its working in that its given exposed me to alot of bands i wouldn't have necessarily discovered. It gives bands name recognition which in the internet age is always a good thing, and if they impressed me at the festival i would see them again if they played a gig near me.

Re: Next announcement
It's not just the size of band that matters. Some bigger bands may be cheap as chips to book compared to other much smaller bands. (Info taken from the internet so take with a pinch of salt) I remember seeing some leaked band riders and for example, Linkin Park ask for £75,000 while Metallica ask f...

Re: Next announcement
Honestly, they have definitely dropped the ball this year. I mean, no disrespect to Rob.... But Sunday headliner? Really? I am pretty happy with the announcement, and the lineup in general right now, which is clear as I just bought a Rocksoc pass and a ticket, but considering Alice Cooper is undoub...

Wonder whose going to sub Zombie, the only bands I can think that would fit in well between Cannibal Corpse and Rob Zombie is Ministry or Fear Factory off the top of my head.

Re: Rumours
I just think Trivium are a very meh band rather than offensive. They did have a lot of potential which they never really lived up to IMO. The media were hyping them up as "the saviours of Heavy Metal" at one point. But they're highly expected to play eventually. They are the band that I a...
