Re: Bloodstcok Bingo - All new 2020 edition
Unless the Sophie stage ramps up the quality of the remaining bands this year I think I've lost

Re: Next Announcement
Also, people complained about Winterfylleth playing in the daytime last time and now they're complaining that they're in the tent? :? You can't win. I do see people's point about PL being bumped up to special guests. Quite disappointing, especially considering they did the same with Skindred ...

Re: Next Announcement
Seems I'm the odd one out on the announcement, I thought it was pretty good  Enjoy all the bands to varying degrees except Winterfylleth who I can never get into. Bury Tomorrow are alright though agree not really a band I expected for BOA. I like Hatebreed but yeah, it's getting a bit much now ...

Re: worst band on the lineup ?
For me: Conjurer. Just not my cup of tea, though good to see an up and coming band given a slot though.
For the festival? Skindred. Tour and play so many festivals regularly that I can't see how they can be that much of a draw; seems such a waste of a sub headline spot

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
It'll be the UK scene that suffers rather than the EU if a good (i.e. not a basic one) deal isn't struck. Remove freedom of movement and place tariffs/taxes then any band who isn't firmly established/profitable is going to be screwed. The cost and opportunities to grow in a large nearby market rise ...

Did PwD play this year? It passed me by, if only they had advertised it well

Re: Next Announcement
As for the announcement, I'm quite surprised by all the negativity given that it's full of typical "Bloodstock" bands and bands I've seen on the wishlists. None of the bands elevate the rest of the line up out of mediocrity (at best). Add in that they're either regulars on the UK circuit ...

2020 Band Ranking list
With a fair chunk of bands announced thought it was time for a good old list :D Usual deal, rank which bands you are/aren't looking forward to. Must see- Devin Townsend, Judas Priest, Cattle Decapitation, Sacred Reich, Vio-lence, Dark Tranquility, Butcher Babies, TBDM, Toxic Holocaust, Sylosis, Necr...

Re: Next Announcement
Almost certain that Phil Anselmo, Paradise Lost and Gloryhammer are all third from top looking the posters etc What a weak set of top 3: one regular repeat, someone reliving past glories with a weak voice and a band who was 2nd on last time they played (and not exactly smashed it since). Needs some...

Re: Next Announcement
Yeah it's disappointing that Skindred wasn't announced as special guests, but then were confirmed as special guests on one of the recent live streams. Very odd way to do it? :? They've announced bands who ended up third from top as special guests so are Skindred getting the same slot again? If they...

Listen to Anthrax on the same weekend every year.
Tbf I probably already do that without realizing

Apparently Municipal Waste are doing a full album next year so should be interesting

Re: 2020 Albums
Sylosis have a new album coming out in February. Anyone remember them? They used to open for everyone and played each year of Sonisphere. So much for the singer's claim that he was going to pursue both Architects and Sylosis simultaneously  Guess Architects are going to have some downtime now....

Re: Next Announcement
I'm no fan of Whitechapel, but no band can touch the stench of awfulness achieved by King 810. Someone is forgetting Chelsea Grin :P I certainly had until now. Thanks for that. Glad to be of help  Saxon are playing as special guest to Judas Priest at a show in Austria towards the end of July -...

Re: 2020 Albums
Looked up the Delain album after reading this and wow  you're not kidding. Wonder if they'll make it their back drop for their tour  Problem I have is, a lot of the albums I'm looking forward to aren't guaranteed a 2020 release, just strongly hinted as such. Got a few like that at the mome...
