Re: Sublime Terror Fest London 16th to 18th October

Thought Seprevation had split up? I see they're also doing HRH metal as well, but it's a quick turn around to reform so quickly; usually gotta leave it 6 years then make your comeback

Not bad, if day tickets are overpriced like the weekend one then won't bother giving this a second thought.

Re: Next Announcement

I think the Mercyful Fate train has completely passed. I'm sure I heard somewhere that they tried but it just didn't work out. Its just yet another major metal band Bloodstock miss out on. well there goes the last shred of hope I had  Also, the next announcement is 10th December apparently. Ba...

Re: Next Announcement

I think they are saving the budget for next year. Mötley Crüe, (the reaction to MC on the FB Live was interesting) or something else that would push the economics of the thing. Oh dear god I hope not. They were awful at DL 2015 and I can't see them being as "good" let alone better than th...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

They can say what they want but Boris has a track record of lying and lying and lying yet the more he lies the more people seem to adore him. It beggars belief! Totally agree. It's much the same with the anti-elitist sentiment that's come to the fore in recent years; seen Javid and Rees-Mogg of all...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

It's not an enviable choice this election, but I'm willing to take a risk on Labours radical plans. It is a very big risk, however, and people should have their eyes open to that fact. I think it's the opposite really, I think people should be more aware that it's not a huge risk (unless it's in ta...

Re: Next Announcement

No chance Ghost have dropped below headliner. I'd assumed that was more referring to the possibility of Tribulation being booked. Yep, meant Tribulation (which was wrong anyway haha) Bloodywood- Credit due for being a new booking that changes things up but would of been good getting a similar slot ...

Ghost will have finished their tour by then.

Cattle Decapitation (who apprantly self confirmed), Tribulation, Havok and Hatebreed (announced a tour for next year) is my guess

Re: Next Announcement

I feel the organisers are turning in a different direction to the BOA i used to enjoy attending. If BOA continues down this route, does anyone reckon that other smaller Metal festivals (such as Amplified, if it returns) might decide to upscale and book the bands who have been ignored by Bloodstock ...

Re: Next Announcement

Download have an announcement on Monday, still holding onto the (very) slim hope that if DL don't announce Mercyful Fate it means BOA have them

Re: Next Announcement

Also, I don't think they are as big as people think, I'm definitely showing my age here (born at start of the 90's) and I have to admit I had never heard of them before they were mentioned in this forum and on social media. The dividing line seems to be those that discovered bands through Metallica...

Re: Next Announcement

So special guest is third from top and second down is subheadliner? My bad I don't really like Saxon, but if it was them, Mercyful Fate and Accept that would be incredible. It won't be though. Just a way to distinguish what slot bands are in, no real difference as they both get an hour in set lengt...

This it said 75. Yeah they'll price themselves out. Sublime terror seem to be putting on loads of death/black gigs in London. Not sure how they make money.

Even better

Aren't bands who are 3rd from top called special guests? At least there is the chance that we'll get a decent sub (though not I have much hope in that)

Re: Next Announcement

Announcement next week then? Back to the two week cycle or has Vicky said something on social media? I never saw them as headliner, rather SG. They're not headlining other festivals, so I still have hope. Not to dash your hopes, I just have a nagging doubt because they're subbing much larger festiv...
