Re: Next Announcement

Yeah my money is on Volbeat. Clutch as special guests underneath them could work well...

Ol Drake rejoined the band last year and they're currently working on a new album. Haven't played BOA since 2012 so would be an excellent way to celebrate their return!

Idle Hands

Gothic heavy metal that recently released an incredible debut album. Would work well as a headliner on the New Blood, high up on the Sophie, or early on the RJD stage.

Re: BOA 2020?

Do you really think Judas Priest would headline twice in three years? I think that's extremely unlikely. I know it would be quite soon for them to return, but I can't see it going down badly if they did. Plus they're the only "classic" band to be announced for Wacken so far so I'm just go...

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

Here is the setlist https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/scorpions/2019/catton-hall-park-walton-upon-trent-england-b9f8966.html To be honest it`s not a bad setlist and some big songs in there (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th songs are classics!), perhaps no "No-one like you" in there or overdoing the med...

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

Thursday: - Footprints in the Custard: 6/10. Was looking forward to these after seeing footage of their past shows. However, they didn't seem to put as much effort into their stage antics and crowd interaction as I've seen previously which was a shame. - Ten Ton Slug: Didn't see enough to rate but s...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

The Good: - Getting in was so quick this year; barely any queue when we arrived around midday. Not sure if this was due to reduced attendance or if they've made changes to the queuing system. - Finally having toilets in quiet camp; meant that I never had to wait too long for a loo and seemed helpful...

Re: Dimmu Borgir cancel

Nope still could have got Saxon Or Even Blaze Bayley(!) I quite enjoy this version of Queensryche but losing a SG and bumping another up isn't very good Sure it`s two days before but a better contingency plan next time? "Hi is that Biff? we don't really want to book you, but would you mind bei...
