Re: Next Announcement

A few things I take from this: Possibly it may go on: Guns n Roses are due to play Twickenham Stadium soon... not yet cancelled. In fact, GnR played in Mexico on the 15th March, only 7 days ago. If GnR haven't cancelled, maybe they're gambling on all will be OK by then same as Bloodstock and Downloa...

Re: Next Announcement

I think someone else said this too. Friday is a good day, Saturday starts off crap but then gets better, Sunday... yeah... do not care. Will likely head off around lunchtime! This happened last time Judas Priest played too, they had to really limit the budget on bands by the looks of it. Thankfully ...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

The Ugly - Only one thing If we are not allowed to cook at our tents then we need more than a tiny festering sandpit shoved next to the bogs to use. I arrived on Thursday took one look at it and thought fuck that! It was minging already, not acceptable in any way and only one little space at one en...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

They created an exclusion zone in front of the security barrier as there was obviously some issue. I figure it was to make it harder for people to throw drinks at the presumably very expensive lighting equipment. It was for your safety. The lights rigging was getting blown about quite a bit. If any...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

The good: Have been to many festivals over many years, first time at Bloodstock, loved it. Loved the drop off point being right on site, the short walk to the arena and having the arena be the village and open on Thursday. Although the festival lacks a slight bit of atmosphere, love how chilled it ...

Re: BOA 2020?

I would love: Skid Row Behemoth Sick Of It All Vader Pro Pain Misery Loves Co. Pain Wildhearts (I know, but just let em on every year, just like he said!) Fear Factory Insomnium Decapitated Amorphis Moonspell ... and add in a few bands I have no interest in so I can take a nap. Thinking Bong Cauldro...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

GOOD: Security staff were great; the guys handing out the rain protectors at VIP were genuinely nice dudes. The bumper cars of course, but seemed to be less people on em this year. Bark chips down around VIP was a godsend, but could definitely have used more. The Mac and cheese stand was good. BAD: ...

Re: Obligatory weather topic

There are various reports showing poor weather at times. It doesn't look like a mudfest but Saturday appears to be the worst day with thunder showers predicted between 3 and 7pm... sucks as Saturday is "my" main day for bands. I'll be grabbing the wetgear for Wildhearts and Cradle of Filth...

Re: Next Announcement

A good announcement I would say. At least one of the four will interest most people. The line up is looking great so far I would agree. The line up this year is very diverse and very good. Personally I'm already happy with who they have announced despite that I don't like all the bands. Hands down ...

Dark Tranquility

These would be awesome for a decent spot on RJD stage.
