Re: Next announcement

How about Purson in that opening slot? As mentioned before, Saturday is oddly bereft of the more melodic end of the scale, bar Within Temptation and a couple of Sophie bands toward the top of the bill. Some female fronted progadelia (is that a word?) might go some way to balancing the day out. I sa...

Re: Ticket Prices

I got an early bird one and paid £140 including all of the fees. Masters of Rock is four days, has an equally strong lineup, and cost me £37 inc fees. Summer Breeze cost just over £80 total, and the lineup is loads better. And the food at those kinds of festivals is like half the price it is here, a...

Re: BLOODSTOCK REVEAL TEN MORE BANDS PLUS MORE CLUB NIGHTS

Ageless Oblivion are god-awful, and Alunah bore the hell out of me. Need to check out the Sunday bands, hoping there'll be something other than Corpse and Godflesh to keep me there for the last day.

Re: Overall, Do You Like This Years Lineup?

Six UK shows a year is hardly a lot. I remember when bands used to do 20 or 30 date UK tours. Often with a festival or two as well. More it's the frequency with which they're here - Supporting WT in April 2014, then a headline tour October 2014, a show with Sabaton this January gone, a bloodstock a...

Re: Overall, Do You Like This Years Lineup?

Definitely seeing: Thursday - Red Rum Friday - Belphegor, Enslaved, Ihsahn, Bast, Ne obliviscaris, Conan, Delain Saturday - 1349, DTA, Dark Angel, napalm death, nuclear assault, Within Temptation, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Ethereal Sunday - Cannibal Corpse, Godflesh 18 bands isn't all that bad. However I...

Re: What pissed you off today

Lost my micro SD card with all the pictures I took on holiday in France before getting a chance to put them on my PC/back them up anywhere. Pretty pissed off, definitely hope it turns up.

Re: Metal magazines - PLEASE ANSWER!!!!

Metal Hammer is total garbage, you can tell just how much they're paid to promote/write about certain artists all the time. Terrorizer is kinda flawed, but it's a good read. Zero tolerance is probably the best. Thing with magazines though is, I went to have a look at terrorizer yesterday. They still...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Yeah, can't say I'm at all happy with that. A call centre, is there much to be happy about? the money is good, and so was the location. I'm not a cold calling scumbag, I generally help people who call up with problems, working for the local council can be okay. But then a lot of the people who call...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

So the call centre I work in for the local council is moving. To a place in the middle of nowhere with no public transport routes, in winter. And our phone system is being replaced by one that's far too complicated compared to the current one, and from now on all calls are recorded, and so are all y...

Blues Pills are one of my current favourites. Would be brilliant if they got booked.

Re: What does Bloodstock need?

^would be absolutely brilliant. Electric Wizard, Draconian or Sleep would be another option, but with the former doing a couple of shows this year, draconian doing doom over london, and the latter playing desertfest I don't see it. Conan would demolish as well if they could be booked. They're so goo...

At the moment I've only got a seated ticket...He does have a way with promotion! All his albums come out in like 6/7 different formats it seems these days, and usually does VIP deals with his shows. Special event - Play Terria in full...

Re: What does Bloodstock need?

At the moment we've got death, prog, thrash, power, female fronted, commercial stuff, and black metal. So to cover all bases we need a solid doom act, (subrosa for the tent!), some trad metal and some grindcore. Don't like power metal, but it does need another band to be balanced, and another female...

Re: Sunday Special Guest

It won't be Devin alas, he's said he's taking a year off after the royal albert hall show :( Plus I'd hope he'd been seen as a headliner by now  If there's anyone who deserves to take a break it's definitely Devin Townsend. I'm so glad I managed to sort a ticket to the albert hall show. If he ...
