Re: What beers are you bringing?

Probably not a lot. Mostly just the best deals on lager crates when at the supermarket. Only session beer I can drink. The rest of the time will have ale in the arena - we're going for bands after all!

Re: Excited?

Yeah, after the Stonehenge debacle I could really do with this festival. Gigs dry up this time of year and I've not been to too many good ones lately, Ingested were good on Saturday before it got shut down, but that's been it for a while. Can't wait to see people not seen since last year, and of cou...

Re: What pissed you off today

Four of us went to Stonehenge festival in Steenwijk, The Netherlands on Saturday from UK. Lineup was epic, Ingested, Master, Taake, Brujera, Vital Remains, Devin Townsend, Marduk, Nervosa. Was meant to be great, go down on Friday to Amsterdam, fest on Saturday and more partying in Amsterdam coming b...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Never getting enough bloody sleep and feeling unable to do anything requiring mental effort all day. Throws all my plans of getting loads of writing done today out the window. A whole day watching the ashes it is.

Re: Last gig ticket you bought?

Judas Priest at Brixton, Slayer at Brixton and Death to Cancer fest London 2016.

I'm worried the deathcrusher one with obituary and Napalm death will sell out, as will nile/suffocation at the dome, but the tickets are pretty expensive and I need to see how much I spend this summer first.

Re: My bulgin bag

Don't have any customers with me at the moment, so planning what I need to do and pack before masters of rock next week and thought I'd come here for those things I haven't remembered to put on my list yet. I had forgotten tent and sleeping bag haha

Re: What pissed you off today

Finally went to the doctor as the pain in my arm got no better after that fall off my bike 2 weeks back. He said I've fractured a bone in my elbow and has sent me for an x-ray. Fucking train delay and crappy buses taking the long way making getting to the hospital take forever - gonna have to make u...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

There is absolutely no need for it to cost 17 euros for Kari Rueslatten to ship her new album on vinyl from Norway to here. I refuse to pay 37 euros for a non limited/hard to get hold of single LP And I'll be in Holland when Anneke Van Giersbergen does a solo show in Holland, but it's several hours ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Didn't really get enough sleep, and I've got a headache that can go either way. Checked my bank balance though and got paid three days earlier than expected which is always great news - especially when I'm going to Masters of Rock in less than two weeks and still haven't got a new tent/literally any...

Re: What pissed you off today

After taking a hefty tumble off the bike on Saturday my left arm is still hurting like shit when I have to move it and won't go back to normal position, and right hand is bruised pretty bad. Managed to get a lift to/from work today but not fancying cycling tomorrow particularly. Just been feeling d...

I just caught Nuclear Assault on the Hellfest stream, and man they kick ass, looking forward to this much more. Can't wait to see Dan Lilker again.

Re: Next announcement

How about Purson in that opening slot? As mentioned before, Saturday is oddly bereft of the more melodic end of the scale, bar Within Temptation and a couple of Sophie bands toward the top of the bill. Some female fronted progadelia (is that a word?) might go some way to balancing the day out. I sa...

Re: Ticket Prices

I got an early bird one and paid £140 including all of the fees. Masters of Rock is four days, has an equally strong lineup, and cost me £37 inc fees. Summer Breeze cost just over £80 total, and the lineup is loads better. And the food at those kinds of festivals is like half the price it is here, a...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Negura Bunget in London - sucked. All the supports were dull, and NB are obviously worthless since all the acrimony now. Their albums these days are mostly trash, but I at least expected them to play some old stuff, but it was all the new stuff. Lost interest after half their set and went to the bar...
