Vuur (Anneke Van Giersbergen)

Been a good few years since Anneke Van Giersbergen last played in the UK, and never played BOA with any of her bands. Vuur were great at Brutal Assault this year, and Metal Days the year before that. She does some old The Gathering songs in most sets too. Hoping she could get booked on the Friday (s...

Re: Next Announcement

Love Devin to bits, but his recent albums have been a little too overblown for me. Always love seeing him though. The other two bands I don't really love or hate, might watch, might not.
Still need Fate to be announced to make me wanna go.

Re: Next Announcement

So guesses are for Devin, Priest and Volbeat as headliners, with mercyful fate and opeth as subs? I don't like Volbeat or Opeth but I'd take that. No doubt it won't be that good though.

Re: Last gig ticket you bought?

I do, I think I've gone to less than that all year though so far. I'm quite lucky that although London is a 3hr round trip I can do it in one day and the travel costs ~£10. Usually not that lucky with how many I want to go to are on Fridays/Saturdays and don't need leave (I like my sleep far too muc...

Re: 2019 Albums

Wow, I didnt know there was a new Abyssal album until my friend told me the other day. Listening to it now and it's crazy dark and heavy, reminds me a lot of Sinistrous Diaboulus. Will have a listen again when not at work cause getting distracted a lot with phone ringing and such, but I can tell thi...

Re: Epica

Simone can't sing live, I've seen them three times and on DVD. Decent enough on album, not a band I'd see again.

Re: Delain

Real hit and miss live for me, but then I like roughly 50% of their songs, and they tend to play the other half. Also don't like WATT, it's pretty cringy.

Re: Next Announcement

Thought Volbeat were boring as fuck when i saw them at Hellfest one year, but if getting them is the price to pay for getting priest and Fate i'd pay it

Re: Within Temptation/Evanescence

After two shows already sold out I dipped into my savings to get a ticket. Hopefully Evanescence play almost entirely tracks from the first two albums, then it will be awesome nostalgia for a band I haven't really been into for over a decade but listened to shitloads back in the day. Either way I re...

I just hope the bands I would rather play Bloodstock such as Devin Townsend, Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest aren't announced.

Re: 2019 Albums

As for upcoming albums I'm most excited for the new Teitanblood. Death is one of my favourite albums of the decade, so I'm hoping they live up to that, none of their material has let me down before. New Sunn O))), Blood Incantation should be good too, and am excited for Edenbridge as one of my all t...

Re: Incineration Fest - Camden Town 09/05/20

Don't really care about any of the bands so far, I guess my extreme metal tastes are too underground these days
