Re: Next announcement

Pretty underwhelmed by the line up this year. Will need some better announcements to get me to go this year. Apart from Emperor, Judas Priest, Memorium, bloodbath maybe MrBig and Sucidal Tendancies there’s nothing here for me. Looks like only a Friday ticket this year so far and that’ll be the first...

Re: No Priest

Do Judas Preist really charge so much more than say Twisted Sister and Slayer or Megadeth would cost. How much more do they charge really? It must be more reasonable than people on here are claiming

Re: King 810

Politics should be left at the door. Too many arseholes were being political this year. I go to a festival for Heavy Metal and beer, not politics. Fuck off to Glastonbury if you want politics

Re: Megadeth's "particularly cool thing"

Well I think it's pretty obvious the big cool surprise for bloodstock was Mustaine's chops reminiscent of Hetfield in the early-mid 90s

Re: Prog anyone?

Thank you for all your help. I particularly liked Haldamir319's recommendations - zhOra and Hundred Year Old Man with their long, multidynamic, moody complex pieces (similar to some extent to Silver Mount Zion but exceedingly heavy - which is what I was looking for...). Looking forward to seeing th...

Re: Stage Times

Some pretty bloody stupid clashes this year. I'm going to watch a lot of New Blood Bands this year when there's nothing else I want to watch..but not really the ones I really really want to see out of choice. This seems to happen every year with the quality bands I want to watch on New blood clashin...

Re: Next Announcement

Anyhoo, back to predictions about who might appear this year - Crowbar were recently announced for Brutal Assault, so are we likely to see them at Catton Park? I'd be happy with them, not likely though we have had our good announcements for the year I don't hold much hope for anything else to be ex...

Re: Next Announcement

[ Bloodstock booked Power Metal BEFORE it was popular. The same goes for FFM. No one in this country would touch it with a barge pole. The same goes for Heavy Metal in general, it was dead. To play devil's advocate, you could say BOA are still doing the same but have moved onto other genres/revivin...

Re: Next Announcement

It's looking good this year on the more melodic front as well as death metal but still lacking in black and power metal. Mainstage is looking great but king810 , chealsea Grin, broken teeth and skindred are dreadful disgraceful bookings ... really bad. Not like there's a lack of good metal around to...

Re: Next Announcement

Ah ffs thanks for getting my hopes up whoever tends to this website! I don't like the sound of King Parrot but would much rather sit through them than that Garbage. Wonder if we'll get another announcement soon to distract from Damnation? Very much doubt it will match that kind of quality though! Y...

Re: Post-performance Shienanigans

I'm a boring fucker who normally goes straight to bed. Maybe a beer or 2 and a chat with people I'm camped with first if anyone's around. I go for bands, nothing else, I wasted far too much time dicking around at the campsite when I first started festivaling. I look back at old line-ups and am full...

I think Ross the Boss or Blaze Bayley would be great.

No chance of Blaze Ballet as he's playing in the US unfortunately

Re: Three of the big 4 Bloodstock

Well Metallica should just headline next year and play ..And Justice For All in full, 30th anniversary. Do it for the hardcore fans not the money and take it round all the festivals like Wacken, Hellfest, Graspop, BOA, Summer breeze etc. All about as likely as package holidays to alpha centauri by s...
