Re: Avantasia

I like both Dream Theater and the latest Maiden record, but I still think that Avantasia are a little overblown for me. I can see why others like them, but they aren't my thing.

Re: Pythia

It will be interesting to see how they get on without Emily Alice Ovenden! I saw them at Bloodstock a couple of years ago; really enjoyed their set, but I don't see that they are in a place to commit to gigs at the moment.

Re: Turbonegro.

I can imagine Turbonegro meeting with a hostile reaction from some Bloodstock goers, but I like 'em and I will say yes to them.

Re: The Misfits

If it were the Danzig era, YES.
If it were the Michale Graves era, YES.
But with the current line-up, NO.

Re: Danzig W/Doyle

Absolutely! There was a good track on "the Devil's Rain," (can't get "Father" out of my head), but I would rather see Danzig than the Misfits at the moment.

Absolutely yes, but did I not read recently that they have had some personnel problems?

Re: Nightwish

Really dislike the new vocalist, but mostly their music is good enough that it doesn't really matter. Interesting. I saw them in Brum when Floor was just the "temporary" singer. There was a fairly robust chant from the crowd of "Best singer yet!" I tend to agree with that. I've ...

Recently revisited his solo stuff. Well worth a listen, and, as others have said, really puts his back into it on stage. Would love to see him.

Re: BOA room 101

There are very few bands I would wish to veto from ever coming to Bloodstock again, but Raging Speedhorn and Whitechapel would certainly be two. Can't think of another band whose performance I disliked intensely enough at the moment.
