Re: Skepticism

They were surprisingly excellent in the middle of the day, in blazing sunshine, on a stage set up on a beach at Fall Of Summer fest in France earlier this year. Would love to see them play the Sophie stage and see their full light show etc.

Re: Beyond The Black

Really enjoyed them supporting Saxon the other year. Like Gandalf says though, they played this year and it's too soon to be bringing them back. I'm all for developing talent and giving bands a push but please let's not end up with another Evil Scarecrow situation where a band is shoved down our thr...

Re: Next Announcement

On the brightside with Skindred, at least they're fun live. I'd take them over another Stuck Mojo any day, I'll enjoy them anyway. Seen Skindred a few times and I find then to be about as fun as root canal surgery. I would've preferred they booked One Minute Silence. They'd be just as shit but at l...

Re: Next Announcement

Good to see Annihilator get booked, people have been asking for them for a long time. Municipal Waste should be a laugh but they are, in truth, just the poor man's Tankard. The less said about Skindre(a)dful the better, especially with how high up the bill they appear to be. No accounting for taste ...

Re: First time at Bloodstock?!

You can bring your own food and drink into the campsite but it won't be allowed into the arena.

You can use disposable BBQs or solid fuel stoves (such as hexamine) in the provided areas.

Re: First time at Bloodstock?!

Flags are allowed on the campsite, yes. Flags on poles aren't allowed in the arena though. The ground can be a bit hard, which is good if it does rain because, although the site does get muddy in places, it doesn't become the mudpits that other places do. You will need a mallet to hammer your tent p...

Re: First time at Bloodstock?!

So, next year will be my first time at Bloodstock! I just discovered this forum today and thought it was a great idea. My question to you lovely people is, what shall I be expecting? And do you guys have any tips? I've done one dayers before (part timer I know ;) ) but I've never done a full 3 day ...

Re: Acceptable length of time between repeats?

Evil Scarecrow have been forced down people's throats so much that most people I know are frigging sick of them and never want to see them again...

Re: Next Announcement

Probably doesn't help that the sole 'high profile power metal band' that have been booked are shite either ;-) In all seriousness, I'd be happy to see some trad/power stuff added. Unfortunately most of the bands that fall into those categories that I like are either so small in this country that the...

Re: Next Announcement

Well that's a fat sack of crap. Enough with the Damnation bands already; let's get some names more synonymous with Bloodstock please. Out of the three bands announced today, none of them have ever played Damnation but 2 of them have played BOA - and several members of the third have played multiple...
