Re: What pissed you off today

As I said on here a while back I chose to leave my job in Huddersfield and moved to Leeds and took some time off before looking for a new job. It's only been about 2 months and my housemate has started coming out with stuff like "when are you going to get a job?" or "just been sat on ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Manager wants me to come in early, I'm already working till 11. I don't want to work a super long late shift. I remember that well. "Well you're here till 8 so you might aswell just stay till 11 now, oh and theres an emergency staff meeting so you'll have to come in an hour early now" In ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Saw Mono last night at Leeds Uni and they were so fucking fantastic. It makes a lot of the metal gigs I've seen seem pale in comparison haha. So intense and well crafted. Definitely going to make more effort to go to gigs of that nature in the future.

Re: A free-for-all thread

I know this will mean a whole lot of fuck all to everyone. But, the local lighting guy for Skalmold and Arkona last week was awful, it was just red, blue and purple back lights and only red front lights with little or no variation. Especially during Arokna, I don't think he did anything after he pu...

Re: What pissed you off today

What pisses me off in general though is how judgmental people are and how they blindly go off on mini crusades doing more harm than good and more to the point that if you don't meet a certain mythical set of criteria you're virtually worthless. I think that wins the award for broadest-yet-oddly-spe...

Again my Mother is being a dick. Had an interview today, after the interview they said "Sorry it wasn't much of an interview, we're trying to rush through these as quick as possible as we are wanting to hire somebody urgently. So whoever is successful will get a call around lunch time" Di...

White Russians are the best. Blind Russians are lethal. I can never have a Blind one ever again. Trivial grumbling: got hammered and stayed up until 5.30 watching Peep Show with a mate. I feel slightly broken right now and I'm meant to be seeing my dad shortly. Guuuuuuuuuuh. Jesus wept  Don't ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Resigned from my job this morning (on my three year work anniversary, no less). I was bricking it as, for various reasons, I thought my boss would be pretty angry with me. I was wrong, she was absolutely lovely and supportive about it. I may hate this job a bit, but I will really miss the people. S...

So a good friend of mine won funding (around 11k) for his PhD to spend 5 months in Washington D.C. and all he's done since getting there is complain that he has to share a bathroom and that his rent is expensive.. He doesn't even pay for it. He has his own double room with a balcony overlooking the ...
