Re: Arena wifi

False sense of security because the registration/payment pages worked perfectly first time. Again, I'm putting that down to luck rather than malice.

Re: "Find of the Festival" / New, Exciting Discoveries

Can someone please explain Hanowar to me? Genuine question, I feel like there must be a joke that I'm not in on. They're a shit band that don't take themselves remotely seriously that ended up putting on a fantastic show due to the strength of the material and the crowd singing along. That's pretty...

Re: Arena wifi

Does that mean you weren't able to pay for it? Because mine connected fine the first time, and let me go to the payment page OK, just wouldn't behave after I'd paid. (edit: to be clear, I'm not suggesting there's a conspiracy/deliberate ripoff happening here. I expect it's just because I registered ...

Re: "Find of the Festival" / New, Exciting Discoveries

For me the find of the festival had to be Godflesh. I'd never liked them before. but I went along to see them just because I was bored, and absolutely loved them. Other than that, Sumer, Divine Solace, Hanowar , Messiah's Kiss and Hell Puppets were great, all of who I'd only heard of when they were...

Re: So Venom.....

Are Priest still going to be around in 2016? I'm sure I thought they were retiring. Or was that just KK Downing?

Re: "Find of the Festival" / New, Exciting Discoveries

+1 for Wretched Toad and Blind Haze, they were both excellent. They didn't qualify as 'finds of the festival' for me though as I know WT's drummer and BH's bassist, so I was always going to go and see them. Same goes for King Leviathan and Divine Solace as I have gigged with both bands before.

Re: "Find of the Festival" / New, Exciting Discoveries

Saille.

Never heard of them before, checked them out solely on the basis of the synopsis in the programme and I thought they were excellent. Hopefully they will go on to do good things, it would be nice to see them on the main stage in future.

Re: So Venom.....

Don't forget that one of the announcers said look out for the clue about next years headliners. Remember the trailer by the Arms with the big logo on it? :eyes: I took zero notice of this, anyone got a pic? It was the ad for Slayer's new album. There were lots of big ads up for the new Bodom album ...

Arena wifi

As much as I hate to be the guy who goes on the forum just to complain, I really regret paying £15 for the arena wi-fi. Across all four days I managed to get it to connect exactly four times, for a total of about five minutes. The rest of the time it either kept hanging on "Obtaining IP address...

Videos from BOA 2015

Was there a live stream this year, and if so did anyone cap any of it? I spent a little bit more time in the tents than in previous years, reasoning that anything I missed on the main stage I could catch up with afterwards as the main stage was all filmed. But I can't seem to find anything on either...

Re: Repeat Bookings

I think it's unlikely that Devin Townsend Project will be available - Devin's said he wants to take a year off after doing the Ziltoid musical at the Royal Albert Hall in April.

Re: What pissed you off today

This wasn't today but yesterday. And It's sort of funny but also I know I'm being a total freak and a bit unreasonable, as well. Since I was REALLY young I've had something of a fear of eating in public. I don't think there is a name for it, don't think It's a recognised phobia although apparently ...
