Re: Next Announcement

My advice to those who would be happy about Dee Snider playing would be to keep that snapshot AWAY from any Bloodstock related facebook groups to avoid it being spotted by or passed on to Vicky or any of the organising crew... I think it was Taake (might be wrong - might be a band with a similar nam...

Re: Ozzy & Judas Priest UK/IRE Tour 2019

Thread tl;dr: Heavy metal legends touring big venues. Some people think it's bad value for money. Other people buy tickets. Some people shouting at those who think it's bad value for money "BECAUSE LEGENDS". I fall into the "bad value for money" category. Hurl abuse at me for not...

Re: The rather morbid celebrity RIP Thread.

This is literally the first time anyone has unironically said "too soon" to me.

What has the internet become.

Criminally overdue a return. 2007 was the last time they played, I believe. 2007!

Re: Next Announcement

Ok. Slayer have a valid reason for a headline repeat. Megadeth probably won't happen for at least another year or two. Korn, despite repeated claims via this forum, are actually quite popular and would probably go down quite well as a headliner. Manson has also never played, would probably be a disa...

An astute observation.

I'd be pleased with Sabaton headlining; it'd be a fun end to the day.

Re: BOA 2018: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

To the comments saying that security seemed a little less friendly: Having spoken to one of the chaps posted to Vanaheim, who himself was never relaxed, it seems Showsec were concerned about the extra capacity this year and were expecting more dickheads than previous years. That would explain to me ...

Re: BOA 2018 - Rate the Bands You Saw

Arkona: 8/10 - I'll admit I was well oiled with booze at this point but I do remember having a bloody good time in between apologising to nearby folks in case I hit them with my hair. Bloodbath: 6/10 - Much more subdued than last time. Almost as if they were suffering horrendous hangovers. Emperor: ...

Yeah it was shit. Best festival ever! Fings wot were good: - Still feels like "Home" with the same atmosphere in the arena and reassuringly familiar faces - Showsec were great as always - Vanaheim folks were lovely. Didn't find a single knobhead. Special shoutout to the chap blaring Priest...

BOA 2018: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

The annual forum feedback thread is upon us. Day trippers this year have the opportunity to beat us weekenders to the punch on this one!

What did Bloodstock do right? What needs improvement? What didn't work? Highlights? Lowlights?
