Booze offers and deals

Another traditional pre-bloodstock thread.

Spot any good deals on booze? Tell folks about it on here so we can stock up in plenty of time.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

16% voter turnout in my local council by-election yesterday. 2 candidates - Labour and Independent. Labour got it by around 30 votes.

Good to see democracy alive and well.

Re: The Rugby Thread

Bloody hell Japan beat Italy! And they deserved it! Two of their tries were absolutely brilliant! Italy played with their usual heart and usual penalty and handling error count. I still don't think they'll be able to play their way out of their pool in the world cup, but clearly having the Sunwolves...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Sorry, I forgot about Northern Rugby. No need to amend the title or anything. If you wish to talk about... I think the official name is "League"? Go for it. Is St Helens still the national team up there?

Re: Unofficial Community Festival Guide for Newbies

Once you're on the A38, don't turn off until you pick up the BOA signs. In other words, start ignoring the satnav. That bridge is probably the reason the Travel Info (link in OP) tells you to follow the signs

Re: Unofficial Community Festival Guide for Newbies

Other important things I forgot to mention: Got mates in Campervans? Arrange to meet at the Campervans entrance. They will have their own wristbands, and security will not let you in without a Campervan wristband or pass. There's talk that non-vanners will be able to be escorted in by those with, bu...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Despite being English I've barely even noticed the Premiership, although that might be down to ITV never functioning on my phone, so I'd been keeping up with the tail end to the Pro 14 (the BBC sometimes show full Glasgow/Edinburgh matches (sometimes in Gaelic), Ulster home matches and the Welsh mat...

The Rugby Thread

June internationals have started.
Pro 14 has just finished.
Champions Cup won.
Challenge Cup won.
First US Major League Rugby in full swing.
Super Rugby.
Western Force's "league" in "full swing".

Let's have a good discussion about scrum resets and Eddie Jones

Unofficial Community Festival Guide for Newbies

So, you're coming to Bloodstock for the first time? Maybe you've been before but not camped. Perhaps you're experienced with camping but not at a festival. Are you completely new to both? I hope this thread can prove invaluable in your preparations. The aim here is for experienced Bloodstock campers...

Re: Bloodstock Forum Meet 2018

Ach, sorry WorMzy, it's doubtful. I had to let Slev down last year too with his biscuits. We forum mods don't have the same access as we did in times gone by, therefore we must enter only through the same pleb entrances as the others. You may indeed have difficulty finding me in Campervans this year...

Bloodstock Forum Meet 2018

It's that time again. For many it'll be the first time in 12 months since they last clapped eyes on their Bloodstock mates, for others they may know each other only by "SwooshyHairMetaller165" or "ImActuallyJustAKnob1337xXx69xXx420" and have no idea what they look like. The annua...

Re: The Voting Age

35. By this stage many will have a mortgage, hold a driving licence, switched bank accounts, be raising kids, written a strongly worded letter to their local MP/newspaper, applied for jobs, spoken condescendingly to enough younger folk... Basically they will have enough "life experience" t...

Found that camping checklists thread. Turns out I started it Kappa (I'm guessing you'll know what that means if you used LuL in your title)

Re: Bloodstock Virgin LuL

Welcome! You've made a decent start by finding the superior platform for interacting with other Bloodstock folk! Firstly, if you're new to festival camping, there will be a checklist you'll need in terms of essentials. There will be things you might want to bring and there are things you think you m...

Re: Secure Motorcycle Parking?

It'd be difficult to chain your bike to anything, unless you chain it to another bike or car... I think you'd have a hard time convincing the staff to let you secure it to any fencing or trees, should you find any. There is security patrolling the site (I believe at all times) but as ever, you park ...
