Re: EU Referendum and Afterwards

^ I didn't bother voting - an over-hyped election which solves nothing.

This is a proper test: https://www.idrlabs.com/morality/6/test.php

Your morality is closest to that of a Conservative.

^ The idea is that conservatives prefer clear, simple statements while liberals are more likely to beat around the bush in they way they write and speak. I've been reading some very interesting stuff on the general subject of liberals .V. conservatives: https://onbeing.org/programs/jonathan-haidt-th...

This is hilarious. It got me as 67% conservative... I'm fairly left wing.
Left wing in what ways?

A description of the Labour party I just read: "a disgusting mixture of hard-Left creeps and robotic Blairite leftovers". Agree? :)

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I don't know why these rebel MPs don't just join the Lib Dems who are pretty much a centre party (by today's very capitalist standard).

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

A good article about the state of our political parties:
https://unherd.com/2019/01/could-brexit ... -politics/

His main point is that both Lab and the Cons are coalitions of more than one group each, so voting for either party is not a real choice.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

The hard leavers are gambling on a no deal exit and the remainers seem to be hoping for a second referendum to reverse the result. I would bet on the latter but it won't happen without some consequences.
