Re: Confirmation for next year
Look at Download's pre 2008 line ups and how many bands would play BOA? Dragonforce - Megadeth - Slayer - Anthrax - Turisas - Dream Theater - Dimmu Borgir - Napalm Death - Within Temptation - Paradise Lost - Orange Goblin - Anathema - My Dying Bride - In This Moment - After Forever - Lacuna Coil - ...

Re: Confirmation for next year
If these more popular acts didn't creep on to the lineup then the festival would have died a long time ago. I believe it was around the time of BOA working with the organisers from Sonisphere that they started to book more commercial acts for the good of the future of the festival. Extreme and obscu...

Re: Confirmation for next year
They said they scroll back up the comments page after the live feed to read the suggestions and despite what people may think on here, there were more requests for bands like LOG and Evanescence than there are for the more obscure extreme acts.

No they didn't, they said they weren't sure if they were the right fit for the festival and then went on to say that their cover of sound of silence is good.

Re: Next Announcement
The only suitable bands I can think of who are on tour at the minute are Ministry and Queensryche.

Re: Bloodstock 2016 - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
The Bad: The lack of security in the campsite area..... and the idiots from Midgard who thought it was funny to come into the Hel camp at silly o'clock shouting and making a racket. And the few who chose to camp in Hel but wanted to sit round the tents and talk late at night. The Ugly: The toilets ...

Airbourne are awesome and that song is better than half the shite that was on the lineup.

Re: Bloodstock 2016 - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
The Good - The Weather, The big SOPHIE tent, Comedy, Strong Man Competition, the Battle Knights, Twisted Sister, Chilled out festival with bags of room, Close proximity of camp to arena, toilets were generally good as were security. The Bad - The Car Park seemed to be a mile away from the campsite/a...

Re: BOA 2016 rate the bands you saw
Phil Campbell - 8/10 - Awesome fast paced set, a perfect homage to Lemmy, lead singer was more of a karaoke singer though. Fury - 6/10 - Tight musically, started off average but got better as the set went on. Gloryhammer - 7/10 - Couldn't hear the vocals in the first song, but after was really good....

Re: Late night entertainment on the SL stage
Half of the songs I picked were upbeat. I avoided anything slow and morose. Didn't pick any Doom, Black and very little Death. Hell, I even put in dollops of cheese. If you can't flirt and dance to stuff like Motley Crue, Van Halen and Quiet Riot, but can to Pantera then there's something wrong. Th...

Re: Late night entertainment on the SL stage
My idea of a club night is people drinking, dancing, flirting and having a good time. I don't think it should be people sat in a corner of a room talking or looking bored. You want a good fun atmosphere, you want recognisable songs that everyone knows and will enjoy, whether they're singing along, d...

Have seen them twice and they were fantastic both times. Certainly a lot better than some of the bands already on the lineup like Venom.
