Re: Late night entertainment on the SL stage
It maybe worth looking at the early line ups rather than complain that some of the people who have attended from the start don't want to hear bands that wouldn't get booked to play even now the festival is bigger. Why should we be hearing RATM, Foo Fighters and Korn when we want Hammerfall, Edguy a...

Re: How many more bands?
Metal Church would be good.
I think Glenn Hughes would be pretty good too, he's touring Europe again and I'm sure he played the first Bloodstock.
Really want Powerwolf, Gloryhammer or Grailknights at some point.

Re: Late night entertainment on the SL stage
Well your wrong here as I for one would love to hear that kind of stuff and think it's far more appropriate than RATM. How is it more appropriate to play music by niche bands for niche fans at a festival which attracts nearly 15k people. Surely it's more appropriate to play music for the mass marke...

Re: Late night entertainment on the SL stage
Yes. But it's a Heavy Metal festival not a Rock festival. If it was a festival booking bands such as Queen, RATM, Foo Fighters, etc. then I can understand them playing that stuff. What's next? Lionel Ritchie? Dolly Parton? I've seen people wearing T shirts of both of those at BOA. It's a Meta...

Re: Next Announcement Thread
One could argue that they are now is a slot much more appropriate of the crowd size they draw. And yes, they haven't done much since last time... except release a new album (Galactic Hunt came out in October 2014, after their last Bloodstock appearance), still draw good crowds on tour and release t...

Re: Next Announcement Thread
Based on the number of people they drew last time, they should definitely be higher on the bill than they were originally listed. I think the two remaining bands for that day will likely be beneath ES, with at least one below Stuck Mojo. Have they had more commercial success since last time they pl...

Re: Next Announcement Thread
Why have Evil Scarecrow been bumped up by around 5 slots, there's no way BOA are telling me that they are a mid-card band similar in size to Satyricon. Even going on things such as social media pages, Evil Scarecrow should be near the bottom of the lineup. Misery Loves Co. should be opening or playi...

Re: Next Announcement Thread
Here's the list of stuff I don't think many are bothered to see so far. And this is just the mainstage! Stuck Mojo Misery Loves Co. Dragonforce (the worst power metal band they could choose! and here are a lot of great ones to choose from!!) Metal Allegience Unearth Evil Scarecrow (really, again? y...

Warlock wrote: they should be focusing more on what the fans want, classics and whats relevant! Not forgotten bands that don't really even fit the festival!
If they catered to what a few individuals want on here, then the festival would go under in a couple of years.

Re: Next Announcement Thread
Regardless of their legacy, they're invariably rubbish live, a bunch of old knackers trying to flog the last wheezings out of a long dead horse. As I've said before, watching Diamond Head live is the equivalent of watching your dying grandad on his death bed. Why are you berating a band that is pla...

Yeah I'm really looking forwards to Stuck Mojo; apart from them and Twisted Sister, the Friday is pretty pants.

Re: Next Announcement Thread
Looking forward to Diamond Head. I might check out Misery Loves Company. The other 2 sound shite.
