Re: Next Announcement

So a bunch more Sophie bands announced today: Wheel Solitary Violblast Crescent Blood Red Hourglass The Parallax Method The Parallax Method are the only one on that list I've heard of from their previous BOA appearance, but from the descriptions there's probably going to be some stuff for me to enjo...

Re: Next Announcement

I like your thinking. That set me wondering, who is the most divisive headliner Bloodstock could book? Five Finger Death Punch? Steel Panther? Babymetal? Bullet for My Valentine? Stryper featuring Count Grisnackh? Or Ted Nugent and Phil Anselmos new supergroup? I get the impression that Five Finger...

Re: Next Announcement

So a poll has been put up on the community section of BOA's YouTube channel asking people who they want to headline next year. The options are Trivium, Devin Townsend, Behemoth, Judas Priest and Lamb of God so looks like we can expect one of those next year! Aside from Devin, that's a pretty uninsp...

Re: Next Announcement

Witch Tripper are a great addition, the rest I've either not heard of or haven't seen. More music for the listening pile, always makes I happy.

Re: Next Announcement

I have to say that in the 5 years I have been going to Bloodstock, this is the most consistently negative I have seen the atmosphere on here (I include myself in this). I have my ticket and will be in VIP as usual but I can't summon up any excitement and I suspect there won't be a great atmosphere ...

Re: Next Announcement

Not heard of either of the mainstage additions, but all 6 of the bands for the Sophie are great choices. A cracking Thursday night line up once again.

Re: Metal 2 the Masses 2019

Was otherwise engaged for Manchester's Heat 5, but it was won by 40,000 Leagues with Psython as runners up. 40,000 Leagues are the only ones I've seen before, and I'm really pleased to see them advance seeing as how they got robbed blind by some nonsense last time they competed.

Re: Metal 2 the Masses 2019

Primordial Swarm describe themselves as "blackened slamming deathcore", and are just as awful as you'd expect. Naturally they win. Had to look up a band with that odd a description, is it this lot? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBX8miSyPOE (yeah, don't sound great  ) Yup, that's th...

Re: Metal 2 the Masses 2019

Bit of an odd one in Manchester last night, of the 4 bands supposed to be playing Heat 4, only 1 actually made it, with 3 new bands being added who were not in the original drawing (there seems to be a lot of that going on this year, there are 2 replacements in next week's as well making 6 drop outs...

IL and Bogwych sound like my kind of nonsense, I'll keep an eye out.

Re: Metal 2 the Masses 2019

Manchester heat 3 was last night, which I couldn't make again. But Stormrider and Reptilian Humanoid went through, which is the call I would have made based on seeing all of the bands before. Kind of a shame to see Argesk get dropped, being the only Black Metal band we've had enter in years, but you...

Re: Next Announcement

Aborted for the main stage.

Skeletal Remains, The Lazys, 3 Headed Snake, Boss Keloid, Dust Bolt and Red Method for the Sophie.

Boss Keloid are superb, Aborted are alright, the rest I'll need to listen to.
