Re: Next Announcement

Another terrible announcement. What a disappointment the 20th anniversary has proven to be!

Re: 2020 Band Ranking list

This is where all the main bands sit on my Spotify chart, which I've been using for 10 years or so. 29. Dark Tranquillity - 1,759 plays 36. Judas Priest - 1,443 75. Sacred Reich - 813 84. Saxon - 734 150. Gloryhammer - 349 162. Orange Goblin - 315 233. Behemoth - 176 249. Cattle Decapitation - 156 2...

Re: Helloween 2020

Good news - thanks for posting. Should we expect this to be another three hour show? I will go to one of the shows. Sunday and Monday are frustrating days though. SeeTickets has the Manchester show at £33.75 which is great value. It's frustrating that I'll be out of the country when tickets go on s...

Re: Next Announcement

Also, the next announcement is 10th December apparently. Bands finishing tours by then: - Gwar/Voivod - Kataklysm/Whitechapel/Fleshgod Apocalypse/Dyscarnate - Last in Line - Municipal Waste/Toxic Holocaust/Enforcer/Skeletal Remains (yes please!) - Uriah Heep/Skid Row/The Quireboys Let's hope she's ...

Re: Next Announcement

I like Priest but I just can't get excited about seeing them without either KK or Tipton. It's as if the heart has been ripped out of them, like Maiden carrying on without Murray and Harris. Behemoth I can take or leave too. After a good start it's gone a bit pear shaped for me again, only Sacred Re...

Re: Razor - Debut UK Show

I always thought Razor were second tier thrash but they're one of the few thrash acts I've never seen and they certainly have enough decent songs to play a good set. If it had been a Saturday I think I'd have travelled for it just to tick them off but I don't think I can be arsed with taking a day o...

Re: Rate The Bands - Results!

Yeah Motorhead were definitely the worst. Slayer were great both times and Ghost were fantastic.

Rate The Bands - Results!

I didn't go this year but I always do this so why stop now. Here are the results of the band peformance rating thread, average scores, only bands that received at least 5 votes counted. A runaway winner this year! 1. Eluveitie - 9.6 2. Dee Snider - 8.78 3. Anthrax - 8.74 4. Ross the Boss - 8.47 5. G...

Re: Next Announcement

I imagine that Manowar are right out of contention already now ? They've never been in contention, their demands are way beyond what Bloodstock could afford or even want to bow down to. From Simon Hall's social media posts it's reasonable to presume the two have spoken before but got nowhere near a...

Re: Next Announcement

But you could put it the other way. Which band has songs that people know? I would probably know all of Metal Churches songs but wouldn't know one of Tesseract's. Would Rainbow headline? They've not released an album since the year dot. When was the last album anyone bought by the Scorpions? I have...

Re: Next Announcement

I think you mean Friday, but either way that's simply not true. Powerwolf, Bodom and Soulfly all sold more than Tesseracts last album. Metal Church's previous album also got to number 25 in the chart, which should in theory place them a couple of slots higher on the lineup too. :? Metal Church have...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Haven't posted in here for ages so... Game of Thrones has been excellent so far. First episode was a gentle reintroduction, second the calm before the storm and third FUCK ME SIDEWAYS Doctor Who - couple of decent episodes towards the end of the season but overall this was probably the worst since t...

Re: movies

I much prefer the MCU films to the Dark Knight ones tbh. The third Nolan Batman film was quite ropey. They're just so much more fun and I like an injection of humour in a superhero film. But just diving in with Avengers 1 & 2, leaving out all the films before and in between, is bound to leave yo...

Main Stage Bands I love: Sabaton, Cradle of Filth, Anthrax, Death Angel  Bands I like: Ross the Boss, Queensryche, Powerwolf, Dee Snider :) Bands I'd watch if nothing else was happening but wouldn't care to miss: Metal Church, Children of Bodom, The Scorpions, Dimmu Borgir, Hypocrisy, Soilwork...
