Re: Next Announcement

Blind Guardian did get special guests. Only 2 years ago. And Demons and Wizards, being a rarity, would probably at least get an hour. That said, I think if they were going to be booked they would have been announced by now, and I think the token power metal slots are all full. I thought they'd play...

Re: ANTHRAX - DIMMU BORGIR - THY ART IS MURDER & TESSERACT - CONFIRMED FOR BLOODSTOCK 2019

anyone who likes Anthrax would've seen them THIS year anyway on the Slayer tour)- and they were as boring as always- I always think they MUST have something as they are one of the 'Big 4' so I approach their set and think 'Right I'm gonna give them another chance- but I've given up now....they have...

Re: Next Announcement

I won't miss Skeletonwitch, always found them fairly average. Perhaps they'll contact Gama Bomb instead now :D I gave Tesseract and Thy Art is Murder a listen last night, both pretty awful although I can imagine TAiM being popular. Tesseract didn't sound anything like I thought they would...very bor...

Demons & Wizards are nothing in the UK, I doubt your average Bloodstocker has even heard of them. If neither Blind Guardian nor Iced Earth themselves can get a special guest slot there's no way their spin off band will.

Re: Next Announcement

I think 3rd down greatly flatters Cradle of Filth. They aren't even the best black metal band in Suffolk. It doesn't flatter them, no matter your personal opinion on their music. They're probably one of Britain's biggest metal exports of the last 20 years and have worked their asses off to get ther...

Re: Next Announcement

I know very little about Tesseract bar the name so count me as another surprised to see them so far up the bill. The only band I'm pleased about here is Anthrax, who give me something other than Cradle to watch on the Saturday. Dimmu are ok but pretty hit and miss live and they haven't made an inter...

Re: Next Announcement

From my understanding (I've never met him), Ross the Boss is a perfectly pleasant and friendly chap face to face with his fans, talking about music and the like. It's his online politics that rankle people, he's very right wing, a big supporter of Trump and very anti-Muslim. I've seen him post all s...

Re: Next Announcement

Evil Scarecrow are a joke that got old a long time ago but they'll stick pack them in and are probably a cheap booking. Other than that, a great announcement, particularly Death Angel who are superb live.

Re: Next Announcement

Slayer were superb in Cardiff the other night, was hoping they'd be the final Bloodstock headliner but it now looks like that will definitely be the last time I see them :( Lamb of God went down really well, they bored the shit out of me personally but I wouldn't be surprised to see them booked. Dul...

I'm quite fond of Gama Bomb too, they're not reinventing the wheel but have always found them good fun, both live and on record.

Re: Next Announcement

Code Orange are really bad but they're the only band on this line up I have no interest in at all. Everyone else I would at least be prepared to give a look, which is a pretty good hit rate. Of this announcement, Rotting Christ are a great band, despite their dodgy last album. I always think they s...

Re: Next Announcement

Hopefully it'll be another classic hard rock band plus two power metal acts. If for no other reason than to watch the Facebook page go into meltdown. BUT I THOUGHT BLOODSTOCK WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOCKIN' BROOTAL!!!

Re: SCORPIONS CONFIRMED AS BLOODSTOCK 2019 SUNDAY HEADLINER

I'm not much of a fan personally but it's a great booking and should be a fun end to the weekend. Lots of angry people on the Facebook page though which is always amusing!

What's this? What's this?

I meant Ramblin' Man. Thought it was at Knebworth but I appear to be wrong! Either way, that's the place I can imagine them turning up if anywhere.
