I wouldn't have thought so, they're certainly not the sort of band that would get anyone excited for next year. The change of style and their less than stellar recent material suggests a late afternoon/tea time slot.

Re: Blind Guardian

There's been no confirmation of them playing Imaginations in full and I think it would be an odd think to do in the UK, where the album never had any impact at the time. But they do seem to be playing it at other European festivals so who knows. Songs that they pretty much always play are Valhalla,...

Re: Next Announcement

There always used to be folk metal bands on the bill at one point, but there rarely seems to be anything of that nature booked these days. Always went down a storm in previous years, so it seems odd that they've stopped booking such bands.

Re: Next Announcement

This year is shaping up nicely. I like all 3 headliners for the first time in ages. In fact the special guests are excellent too. There are 5 bands I absolutely hate, which gives me enough time to do other things such as eat, drink and be merry. Despite those bands, this is looking like the best ove...

Re: Next Announcement

The band that seem to attract the worst fans has been Slayer. Noone's said they shouldn't play. I will say though, I think Hatebreed are more likely to attract angry bastards than Nightwish would... Never had a problem at a Slayer gig, apart from once in 1987, the dickhead guitarist from Malice was...

Definitely, one of my favourite bands who I'd love to see before Bobby gets too old to keep going.

Uncle Acid

Surprised to see they haven't already been mentioned for this year. 4 great albums under their belts. I'd say it's about time.

Re: Blood Ceremony

The Doom scene has always been under-represented on the main stage at Bloodstock, and these guys would be an excellent choice to fix that statistic somewhat.

Re: Rhapsody (farewell tour)

+1. The festival organization doesn't support power metal as before anymore though. Most likely they will get Sabaton headlining Saturday and that's it. What's wrong with Sabaton? We already have Blind Guardian, and if they were to add Rhapsody and Sabaton to the lineup I'd be in power metal heaven.

Oh hell yes, they were excellent last time. Bloodstock would be perfect for their final UK date.

Death Angel, Kreator and Overkill would be immensely pleasant.

Re: Next Announcement

I would much rather see the likes of Turisas, Finntroll, Helloween, Hammerfall and Korpiklaani booked than Crowbar, Misery Loves Co, Pro-Pain or Black Label Society. Last time Turisas played the place went berzerk, and this year Misery Loves Co had about ten people watching them.

Never fail to blow me away and I've been watching them play for almost 30 years. One of the most dependable live bands on the circuit.

It's time to raise the flag of hate!

Last saw her when she toured with Saxon and she was fantastic. Would be very happy to see her at BOA.

Have seen every Bloodstock performance by these guys and they nail it every time. Great music and a great show.
