Re: Orden Ogan London Show

I'd have been happy to go if Brothers of Metal had been supporting. Annoying.

Re: Next Announcement

Megadeth, Lamb of God and Trivium certainly won't be filling up the empty headline slot as their massive North American tour has been rescheduled for next year and runs throughout August.

Re: Next Announcement

I've watched a couple of bands do livestreamed performances via Youtube from a studio or small venue. It works pretty well but make sure to ignore the Youtube chatbox which is full of South Americans shouting about which country they are from. Fake Download was pretty annoying. I didn't care for all...

Re: Epica + Apocalyptica UK shows

Postponed, unsurprisingly. The UK shows are split up a bit now. The London show is now on a Tuesday which is extremely irritating. 16/04 Nottingham 17/04 Glasgow 18/04 Bristol 27/04 London 28/04 Manchester https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/s960x960/95935992_10156827074582924_476618139912...

Re: Next Announcement

" exclusive live performances from a selection of yet-to-be-revealed artists chosen by each festival"

So loads of great bands from the European festivals and Bloodstock will give us Parkway Drive, King 810 and Whitechapel.

Re: Dream Evil UK Tour

I think I saw these guys supporting Hammerfall in 2010 in tiny, crappy Glasgow venue called The Cathouse.

Re: 2020 Albums

In Flames' re-recording of Clayman is horrible. Just sounds weak and bland plus Anders has used his awful new vocal style on it. He and Bjorn are the only two left from the original album...the band died for me when Jesper left. Pretty much everything they've done since has been arse. I'm surprised...

Re: Next Announcement

It'll probably be e-Bloodstock over scheduled weekend of the festival, like Download is doing.

Re: 2020 Albums

In flames have decided it's a good idea to rerecord some clayman tracks   I came here to post the same thing. I heard the re-recording of the title track on Spotify earlier and it sounds fine but I can't imagine it will interest the majority of the current fanbase. When they first put out...

Re: Next Announcement

I liked them up to 'Threshold', then they tried to do something different with 'Infected' which was the same but not as much about hammers and templars. Since then they've reverted back to type and post-'Infected' albums have been dull and repetitive. They sort of backed themselves into a corner by ...

Re: Next Announcement

Firewind are still doing support slots like opening for Queensryche. Gus G should just mothball Firewind and strike out on his own or join a bigger band (he'd have more stage presence than Andy Sneap for example). Firewind will never amount to anything with their revolving door of singers. They blu...

Re: Next Announcement

I guess some of these think they are too big to come over here and play smaller shows, but I think they'd do alright if they actually worked at it. I think you're right. There's probably diminishing returns for many of the European bands who sell out arenas in Germany etc. but struggle to sell out ...

Re: Next Announcement

I won't go through all of the bands you've listed as I have no interest in many of them. However, Iced Earth did shows outside London in 2011 (I saw them in Birmingham) and in 2012 shortly before Bloodstock (I saw them in Glasgow). All they've done since 2014 that I can think of is the one show in L...

Re: Next Announcement

Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica and others were doing more substantial UK tours several years before Blind Guardian bothered to.
