Re: Next Announcement
The last time Blind Guardian toured the UK they also played Nottingham, Manchester and Glasgow. I know, but it took them something like 25 years to get round to that sort of tour so I'm considering that to be an anomaly rather than anything regular. Wasn't one of the indoor Bloodstocks their first ...

Re: Next Announcement
Nightwish have a a few UK dates set for the end of this year. In the event that they're postponed I think it's unlikely they'd headline Bloodstock and do arena shows within a few months of each other again . I'll be happy for Blind Guardian to return. They have a new album on the way so I suppose th...

I know, and I was critical of that when the announcement was made.

Re: Next Announcement
Four years is maybe a bit too soon for a headliner to come back. I think headliners should go through a five year cycle to keep up the variety, but it would be a good repeat for Bloodstock.

Re: Next Announcement
Amon Amarth and Kreator would make me consider buying a ticket, but the organizers will probably get Parkway Drive again.

Re: Next Announcement
Ghost are probably too big for Bloodstock now. They're on course to headline Download eventually.

Re: Next Announcement
I hadn't realized that. Since most venues scan barcodes now I just assumed that Bloodstock had been doing the same.

Re: Next Announcement
Sending the ticket back sounds unnecessary. I'd have thought that the barcode could be invalidated by SeeTickets at the click of a button.

Re: Next Announcement
So, they deleted my account for posting that screenshot. Sounds like facism to me! What was on the screenshot? I didn't manage to see it. :( Considering one of the Directors in March said: So whilst everyone in the U.K. is obsessing over corona virus our council tax has gone up 3% and politicians h...

Re: Next Announcement
I expect it to be an announcement that they're closely monitoring the situation but hoping to go ahead as planned with updates to follow. They'll also announce some sort of prize draw for Bloodstockers to join them in an online meet & greet, because people want to meet the organizers for some re...

Re: Next Announcement
Obviously I don't know the organisers, but given Vicky's general demeanour on Twitter I wouldn't even be surprised if it was like the Australian Formula 1 and they announce it on the day        I can just imagine Vicky & co. standing shoulder to shoulder in fr...

Re: Next Announcement
I wasn't planning on going to this year's festival. Fingers crossed they're able to proceed in 2021 with a better line-up! I'll take Gloryhammer and The Night Flight Orchestra from the 2020 line-up, but most of 2020's collection of bands can do one.
