Re: BOA 2018: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

My 9th Bloodstock and had a brilliant time, already looking forward to next year! The Good: Judas Priest were easily the best headliner I have seen at Bloodstock, fantastic set, loved the new songs and Glen coming on during the encore was inspirational. Really enjoyed Power trip, Conjurer, ST...

Yeah, surely it's time we had Accept back again??? And I'm in agreement with the Wormrot suggestion, we need more grind!

Re: Next announcement

NAILS are an excellent band, seen 'em twice and they were immense both times,
I'm interested to see how well they translate to a bigger stage. Not bothered
about Emperor or Devildriver though, hopefully something good will be on the other
stages when they are playing.

Re: Next Announcement

Very happy with Venom Prison, I saw them last year and they
were really impressive, looking forward to seeing them again.

Xentrix is another good choice, although if they clash with
Kreator I won't be watching unfortunately.

Re: Next Announcement

The only time I've seen actual violence at gigs is when there has been a 'core band on the bill. Heavy Metal is implied violence. There is a vast difference. I've NEVER seen it during any other genre of music, including raves full of people drugged up to the eyeballs. Apart from a famous riot when ...

Re: Next Announcement

It's not about being sensitive, it's about not wanting to be surrounded by dickheads acting like total pricks. Doesn't mean that people are necessarily offended or scared, just means that they don't want twattish behaviour brought into the festival. Metal music is loud and aggressive and is therefo...

Re: Next Announcement

I agree they went down well but with them (and more so King 810), it's down to the crowd that they could potentially attract to Bloodstock that brings about a lot of the negative reaction to their booking. The sort of pathetic, attention-seeking, 'come-at-me-bro', cheast-beating, neanderthal pricks...
