Re: movies

R.I.P. Dennis

in other thread related stuff, watched Sherlock Holmes and i thought it wasnt that bad. could have done with more of how Sherlock Holmes analysed scenes and fights, less CGI and more crime sleuthing rather then just going around hitting people.

Re: movies

this film screams sequel. I though that too, but it seems to me like one of those films that could be ruined by carrying it on too long, if you know what I mean. Like there are some films that when a sequel is announced it makes sense and others where it really annoys me. yeah, the problem with Kic...

Re: movies

watched Kick-Ass round a friends and i have to admit i was surprised at how good it was. it was just like watching a comic book especially in some of the final scenes like when he is wearing the jetpack and shoots the villain out of the window, looked like it was taken directly from a comic book. an...

Re: movies

I didn't realise it was more of an 'origin' story. An origin story? FFS! Russell Crow is 46!    Well there's not much Merry Men-ing (that sounds wrong...) as you would expect in a film about Robin Hood, without giving much away it's about how he ended up as an outlaw. There's i...

Re: movies

Robin Hood looks god awful and Russell Crowe was even begging people to go watch it so he could do a sequel because they left the ending open on purpose. but then again i seem to be the only person in the world who thought Gladiator was shit and basically anything with Russel Crowe in is shit, excep...

Re: movies

I don't want to watch it because The Daily Mail will call me a paedophile. Best reason I've heard to watch it. In fact, that's the only reason to not watch it, until you realise the Daily Fail are twats and you're missing an amazing film. when the only films they like stars a boy playing with his '...

Re: movies

just come back from Iron Man 2 and i am very happy with it. i was expecting more of War Machine but the film was long enough. the story was solid and i wasnt expecting an Iron Whiplash although it just felt like they had reused the villain from the first film. hopefully the Avengers villain and Iron...

Re: movies

Films I've left the cinema during: Street Fighter Mortal Kombat: Annihilation Spawn Me, Myself and Irene King Kong (although I did return after twenty minutes, out of some kind of morbid curiosity) I liked all of those except King Kong :( (although, after seeing it about a thousand times when I was...
