Re: Next Announcement

I feel the organisers are turning in a different direction to the BOA i used to enjoy attending. If BOA continues down this route, does anyone reckon that other smaller Metal festivals (such as Amplified, if it returns) might decide to upscale and book the bands who have been ignored by Bloodstock ...

Re: Next Announcement

If they check the wishlist at all I think it would be simply to find bands they have not heard of before to potentially fill lower slots not to make actual booking decisions. In fairness this forum represents a tiny proportion of Bloodstock attendees so I dont think using the wishlist forum as a bar...

Re: Next Announcement

Very happy with the announcement. Fucking love Behemoth and they are easily my favourite band on the bill atm Priest is to soon but im not gonna complain as the 20th + 50th anniversary are a pretty perfect match up. If anything I think Bloodstock made a mistake booking them for last year and should ...

Re: Use of Referendums

Im in favour of more referendums but on things that are just a matter of opinion not technical matters So for example I think gay marriage would have been legalised much earlier if we had put it to referendum and that would be suitable as it was just a matter of "do you think this is right or w...

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

I was in Midgard for all 3 main stage headliners as none of them were to my taste. For Sabaton and Scorpions it was fucking dead, for Parkway Drive there were tons of people in the camp partying. Given that by accounts iv heard Parkway Drive got an alright sized crowd despite how busy the campsite w...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

There definitely was less litter in the arena this year, but still quite a lot. I would suggest a recycling bin for cans next year as I saw a substantial number of empties on the ground. I doubt this will happen as any can in the arena has been smuggled in so if they put bins out for them they woul...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

Another amazing year, already cant wait for the next Good As always the incredible atmosphere both in my own camp which gets better every year as we adopt new people and in the people I met and got fucked up with around the Midgard The queue was incredibly quick this year, I dont know if this was du...

Re: Dimmu Borgir cancel

A year ago id have been fucking ecstatic about this but the current incarnation of Batushka is very mediocre and as far as I know they are not even playing anything off Litourgiya atm

Glad I got to see them a couple of times when they were good

Re: First Timers Coming For The Day

1) Not sure on traffic 2) Drop is about a 15 min walk away 3) As far as I know the taxis have to go to the drop off not anywhere closer 4) There has been a lot of blacklash against them as they represent the festival moving in a different direction to normal but id still expect them to get an alrigh...
